It's nice but installing a stove inside a chimney is a non sense ! You lose lots of energy and just basically only heat the chimney ! A stove IN FRONT OF the chimney is much more efficient : the stove pipes produce a lot of heat (L shape for example).......

@@thecosystovecompany7402 they look great and I think you can burn coal on them too. Ime undecided. Heta 45 or ambition or dg ivar 5 . Not worried about price as will fit it myself so just want the best for wood burning mainly.

What is the minimal wall clearance you would recommend? I think DG say 5cm but is that enough? You clearly have more here…

Heat up a chimney not a problem. Set up fire light it close the door, dont open for 2 hrs. This video is no solution for smokey stoves!!

A gas torch up the flue first for a couple of minutes, or a firefighter by itself to start the convection.

I have a smoke problem when opening the door, I've tried everything. There's a decent draw but still smokes. There's a spinning cowl up there now but still smokes. Smoke guard?

No need for those blocks aslong as your hearth meets requirements and the back wall is brick , if not u can build a concrete block wall about a metre high . The brest can be built in metal stud and track. The recess must be boarded with fermacell board (fireproof) ,the breast itself can be boarded with fireline board(pink gypsum) . Any beams fitted on breast must be a minimum 0f 300mm above the stove according to hetas guidlines.

I don't have much experience with this, but this has been my experience so far ... I had a big smoke incident wben I tried the top down method. Thinking it was my error, however, as everyone says top down helps prevent this.

You do need to have chimney space otherwise they’ll make holes through the roof . I’m in a rented house my landlord would go mental lol . Plus it’s over a thousand pound I might stick with camping heaters and oil heaters

I'd also be interested in this. One can only assume that the lack of response and the fact they are based in Bromsgrove, south of Birmingham, as they only deal locally. I don't know why in this day and age people can't submit videos of their planned areas and submit them for companies to quote of the phone?
