Portnoy fans clearly only see the ferocity of the game from a style.. but Mangini fans clearly see and judge the skill and technique from all aspects, and Mangini's game is very difficult even when he solo drums very neatly even Portnoy himself will not be on the same level as Mangini, he is a professor drummer.. thank you Mangini for filling Dream Theater with something very amazing that was previously very boring..

I absolutely LOVE this band! I can't deny it though and won't lie so must admit that I feel as though the growls were considerably 'lackluster', perhaps, for lack of a better word maybe... I do a very similar style of (heavy) vocals to Mikaël - REALLY WISH I could sing even a mere, vague fraction as well as he can, though - and I know I RIP that shit UP when I play this and other Opeth songs but it really sounds and feels as though he's really struggling/straining to keep up with it and the tonality, delivery and raw power are simply absent from this performance. But I'm any case I am pretty sure that anyway it was around this time that Opeth actually began to simply stop making use of growls in newer releases altogether and guess it would stand to reason then that it was thusly attributed - perhaps at least even only partly and maybe also partly simply due to musical evolution - to this decline in growling potential that they began to evolve their writing and material accordingly. ... And let me be absolutely clear when I say that THEY REMAINED JUST AS F$#*ING AMAZING AS THEY ALWAYS HAVE BEEN!!! 🖤🤘

sometimes I keep thinking to myself! that perhaps a band as technical and extraordinary as dream theater will never appear! not that I'm belittling other talented musicians, but it's just that this band transmits such a unique musical atmosphere that I can't imagine another band doing this

Mike Mangini the best Dream Theater drummer for all time. Mike is better than Portnoy. I hope Mangini comes back after Portnoy does his little crises of self-centeredness again.

@@MichMaison i agree i agree i agree. Portnoy thought that DT would be on hiatus because of his exit, but he was wrong. DT found a replacement who was on another level. Love how portnoy play, love his work, but i hate selfish person like him. In the end, all of Portnoy's fans blamed Mangini, and always compared the two of them. even though his idol left of his own accord without any coercion. In my opinion, they should even thank Mangini, who has filled Pornoy's position for dozens of years and brought the band Portnoy raised to the same level, if not more. I hate toxic Portnoy fans.

iya kasian juga mangini setelah lebih 10 taun di DT langsung "disingkirkan" gitu aja, padahal kehadirannya di 5 album DT cukup memberikan pengaruh kuat, terbukti sebagian fans ingin agar lebih banyak lagi lagu2 era mangini dibawakan portnoy
