How do you know what thickness of film to get? .13, .18, .4, .3? And different materials are available too

I bought the Corsair K 65 plus wireless not too long ago. For a stock keyboard, when it comes to the experience you get with something custom, corsair did a really good job, the plate is high quality, the foam and rubber inserts between the plate and the bottom of the case. The stabilizers I'm assuming are cherry, and they're screw in stabilizers. Corsair also factory lubed the switches and stabilizers. So all in all for something stock off of the shelf at Best Buy, its a very pleasant experience. Though as enthusiast usually do, i couldn't stop myself from purchasing some durock stabilizers to install despite not noticing an issue with the stock stabs that came on this keyboard. ANd lemme tell ya when i got them lubed and installed i wasnt as impressed as i thought i would. Ill admit my lube is probably a big part, as it came in a keyboard modding kit that i purchased off of amazon. But yea i finished the install feeling not as impressed as i had expected.

still relevant in june 2024.. haha.. going to buy sum as i never died from AliExpress 1.6Micron 50grams for 7.11 euro.. will be delivered in 3 weeks but that's ok.. thinking of seeing if i can improve Bsun-X switches.. and see what happens when i add sum to lubed milky reds that feel a tad scratchy compared to the new generation of switches like HMX-Cloud and Bsun-X.. i prefer the HMX-Cloud switches but because i have 200 of both hmx and bsun i want to experiment a bit.. That's still one of the main reason i got in to this hobby fun to experiment.. Hope you and your loved ones are doing well mate.. greetings from The Netherlands..

They’re very chill. Don’t try this with a bark scorpion though.

Before doing this I would suggest using the free Logitech _Camera Settings_ app and disable autofocus. You can also keep autofocus on and adjust its sensitivity. I'm a tinkerer and wholly support hardware mods, I do them all the time, but that way you're not having to do those mods if a simple software fix does the job.

I can't believe this web cam was so successful when it's fundamentally flawed and you need a lot of technical know how to fix it.

I'm struggling quite badly tapdancing with qmk through keymap.c I have a well functioning (latching) layer cycling functionality on a key, but I'd much rather make it so that layer switching is a double tap, changing the single tap to a macro. Any help would be much appreciated.

I was so annoyed that some of my switches had that top out noise, I thought it was spring ping at first or maybe I ever lubed and the stem's sticking. But then I realized I ran out of films and my arrow keys doesn't have films. I can definitely say that having films make the switches sound more consistent, the feel will still depend on how consistent you've lubed them and the springs of course but no more uneven/out of place noise
