You keep talking about it not being economical, but the reality is that an annual zone 1-6 travelcard (the distances most users would be doing) is £3,120. Or £299 a month. You can get the RM1 on hire purchase for about £100 a month - so immediately it's cheaper than the tube.
@ToniReviews12 күн бұрын
You make a Good point but the reason I say economical is because you couldn’t ride this outside zone 2. Getting out into the hustle of outer London this thing wouldn’t survive, hence the need for other ways to get around. I would love to see a test ride from central London out to uxbridge or alike travelling through the major arterial routes. As a long time motorcyclist living in a pretty hectic part of London navigating daily main arterial routes I speak from experience when I say this isn’t economical, mainly on the basis it isn’t practical if you have to navigate these types of routes. Hope that makes more sense

Great review Tony, as I'm trying to decide if I should de-cat. I have heard that keeping the cat, can cause a problem if parked in long grass, as it runs very hot. Ok, how many times does that happen, I know. Its just a thought. I'm staying with stock after your honest review. Many thanks

It's a very similar arrangement on the M.V Pont Aven though I don't remember that having those bench seats outside the seating room. We used to 'rough it' on the overnight Plymouth-Roscoff run and oh boy it was tough going. The seating room was packed and everyone was snoring. Sometimes just by chance they'd all snore in unison like a choir! So we went searching for somewhere else where we could lie down but there was a hireded singer in the bar with a loud squeeky microphone that you could hear from everywhere and she kept singing for hours so that idea didn't work either. My wife eventually nodded off back in the seating room but I spent the night outside watching the boats go by. I got cold and wet but it wasn't too bad. On another trip there was a crowd of loud people roaming the decks who seemed oblivious to everyone else though after a few hours the captain came down and gave then a right ticking off. And there's more but I wont go on.. So nowadays we always get a room - lovely!

The main reason you de cat is to get rid of the heat . The cat is under the engine .it will be boiling the oil in your engine .Heat kills oil.
@ToniReviews21 күн бұрын
Interesting perspective. I think most people don’t de cat to get rid of heat. I think the other factors are what tend to persuade people to change out for an x pipe. Interesting point of view thanks for sharing

I've watched a few of your Triumph reviews. Your accent reminds me of my family and growing up in London England. I was born in Woolwich. I would say you definitely have a Cockney accent. I am now a US citizen living in Southern California for many years now. Carry on riding !!
@ToniReviewsАй бұрын
Hi. Well I’m glad I bring back some memories from London. Yes the accent is from a childhood and family all from London, specifically the east end. California sounds like a good trade! Totally jelous! Thank you for taking the time to watch the videos and to comment. I always love hearing where these videos reach. 😊

A cabins a bit of a waste when your travelling alone. This was absolutely fine, and I’d definitely do it again if travelling solo. No different to a long haul flight except you get to ability to roam whenever you want. It’s perfectly fine.

Wow. Toni. Amazing well edited videos. Good content. And good presence. I just can’t believe you are not getting the views. Maybe promote your best video on a paid service to get people to watch your series? Better than itchy boots! I’ve started also. Similar subs. Struggling also. But all I can say is you should be 1000s of views for this great content. If ever you reach Thailand give me a shout out 😂🙏

Hi. Thanks so much for the words of support. I really put a lot into this series so I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I’ve been wondering what I could do to promote the series, but it seems my reviews do better than the adventures and I thinks it to do with the original meta tags I used to set up my channel. I’d be interested in knowing more on the paid service, the only stuff I’ve seen is so called experts on fiver, which hasn’t really worked previously. Re Thailand I’ve been a good few times and is on my list to revisit and do a motorcycle trip so maybe I’ll give you a shout when I return 👍 thanks for the words of encouragement and I’ll check your channel out too. Thanks for the support 👍

I’m a 63 year old Coventry kid living in Throop Dorset. I drive electric and ride a E Bike.🚲. I really like these Motorcycles especially the faster one. I would own one tomorrow for cruising around Dorset. 1 thing I would mention is battery cold weather performance. My car battery range drops like a brick during cold weather but I’m running a heater as well in a car. So try and keep your motorcycle battery at room temp if possible before your journey. It will make all the difference for performance and range. Great looking bike anyway, I’d love one sat in my garage. 👍

Thanks for your opinions. All reviews on KZbin and alike will be subjective and I don’t try to hide that fact. Having ridden many tyres on various bikes over the 25 years I’ve been riding part of my reason for choosing the heidenau tyres was styling, but if they didn’t perform I’d have quickly swapped them out for a different compound. In my personal experience these tyres are fantastic in the dry, capable of taking on quite a lot of abuse. As mentioned I think they’re terrible in the wet, but now I’m older I’m more of a fair weather rider. I also mention this in the review. Hope this helps

great review, honestly as you said, it appears to be closer to a bicycle than to a proper motorbike - that is the point, though the looks of the bike promise different, I think that is the point, but the new model 2 closes that gap, still a very nice option

I am just about to order one of these. I will be using it in Thailand. All helmets are hot here in the hot season. My Roof Boxer V8 chinbar mechanism has just called it a day, so this purchase will be soon. Always good to listen to someone who has done a lot of miles using a product. I stop in the rain over here. It's plain dangerous. I have subscribed. Nick: Yamaha SCR950, KTM 390 Duke, Yamaha Aerox 155.

I always value honest reviews from people putting their own money on the line. We can all agree that Glamster is not a bad helmet and it is quite amusing to read comments like "you saved me so much money" like it is some piece of crap (and definitely it isn't). You can buy very good helmet for 300 GBP instead of 500 GBP but it won't be SHOEI or ARAI, or any other premium brand (talking about standard prices not sale). And you can feel after watching video that price/feature ratio isn't satisfying for Toni and this is the main issue but hey, you get retro styling and premium brand which is ok if you are aware and looking for it (Still SHOEI is not just a logo on a helmet but these helmets are exceptional in terms of fitting and safety). If you don't care about premium and price/feature ratio is more important why not take a look at HJC, Nolan or AGV. Second thing is that if we want to have retro helmet then there have to be some compromises because many modern features impact the look of the helmet. The pinlock thing though was very interesting because even on shoei website it states that pinlock provides very good visibility under bad weather conditions but I am on another market so maybe that's the issue. Legally they state you shouldn't ride with this particular pinlock under specified conditions but almost in any new car front windshield is tinted, people often wear sunglasses with UV400 and even prescribed corrective glasses may have some kind of tint so practically it shouldn't be an issue (Manufacturer is just playing safe to avoid lawsuit due 20% less transparency - not fault of the rider of course).
