Inside door handle is in a similar location to the 70-74 challenger.

I completely agree with your take on the quieter advantage of the V6. I would never mod my V6 Challenger for this reason, and it is part of the reason why I didn't go with a V8 model. I really wish the V6 would come with a manual transmission option though....
@edschoenfeld9935Ай бұрын
The v6 or slant 6,straight 6 has been around in all muscle cars.Some just want that sport car look, don't need the power or gas bills.You look for a old car nova, duster ect some have the 6 and are easier to find and buy.You can always toss a 8 in it.Back then a 6 was alot different then a 8.Now in todays world the 6 would beat most older 8s.Although 8 maintain value better, 6 is a good option for some.Me personally had a choice scat or rt.Knew i wanted a 8.I chose the rt.One price was better,not going to race or beat on it.Could have fun with it,Plenty of power with 375 hp.Sounds great, less on gas,insurance and not stolen as much.Plus if i ever get tiered can build it up.

that pentastar engine doesnt have alot of problems really. ive worked on alot of cars with it. some have premature valvetrain wear and cooling problems is common with all the plastic parts they use these days. with that said it doesnt effect many considering how many there are out there. its an above average engine considering most everything else out there is riddled with problems also
@bradbrinegar1419Ай бұрын
the v6 is fine until you drive an rt or scat pack. rt and scat pack are fine until you drive a hellcat. it keeps going.

Pentastar V6 is garbage, sounds and performs terrible, timing chain, oil filter housing, weak engine block, always leaking oil somewhere, cooling system is garbage, al though most chrysler products have terrible cooling systems. Quit buying V6s, get the hemi.

The first car I bought myself was a camaro and I enjoyed the interior handles which are like the challenger. However, it was the height that I needed to get adjusted. Camaros are low with a small front window vs challenger which are higher and have huge front view. I prefer the challenger in that aspect but i like the daintiness of the Camaro while driving. It’s like driving a big boat vs. little boat.

My 2017 Challenger GT V6 has 140,000 trouble-free miles on it. It has been supremely reliable. So instead of replacing the car with a new one, I gave it a present. New timing chains & guides, water & oil pump, Coil Packs, Iridium plugs & a Ripp Supercharger. Now it's an all-wheel-drive volcano that gets 21 mpg. That 3.6 Pentastar is a very good engine. We were surprised to see just how clean the engine was internally after 140,000 miles. Have fun with your V6 Challengers. Absolutely nothing wrong with them and there is plenty of headroom for significant mods down the road.

I have a 2019 GT AWD as my daily commuter for when i don't feel like getting the meaner toys out to play, first thing id say is after getting this car definately save up the $1700 and buy yourself a Borla Atak exhaust system and a good performance cold air intake, these two mods are easy to install also would be pretty cheap to have installed for you at a shop if you dont want to install yourself and make a huge difference in the sound and performance of the car you'll give yourself about 30 more HP closing that gap with the RT trim even closer and your car will then actually sound like a muscle car even with the v6 in there, plus just a note, 90% of people in the world don't know the differences or care about the trims and engines they see a challenger and they think the same thing whether its a hellcat or a GT
@FloridaRT4 ай бұрын
Actually we whom drive Mopar recognize every trim level brotha. Nice car man

Cold air intake will not give you any noticable HP. Now if you get a tune then you can add 40hp 40tq to the real wheels with 93 octane.

the 3.6 V6 has about the same HP as the old school 340 V8. unless you truly know the difference in grills and wheels etc. it is just a Cool looking Challenger going down the road and the average person doesn't know the difference between a hellcat or an SXT. not everybody has a pocket full of gold, so I am happy to own a SXT plus with STP and I really love to 28mph that goes with the looks.

What I hate most is that when 3 US muscle cars started bringing back to our life, they all appeared in this fat ugly form. No doubt Challenger is looking good in front view and better than other 2 overall, but I can't stand that he is fat in his side look is horribly fat and heavy. They even didn't try to hide these forms with body paint. Well Challenger is going to go away as people say, again. And it seems that late 60s model still is the best-looking Dodge Challenger we have.

People seem to think that they are super neato when their car is loud (most of them sound like lawn mowers on crack). I have not modified the exhaust on my scat and the only reason I ever would modify the exhaust is to make it quieter. Driving freeway speeds I have to have my stereo volume at no less than 16 to be able to hear my music. Having conversations with the passenger is not using your inside voice. My girl and I feel like we are practically yelling at each other lol. Anyway, whatever floats people's boat.

Resonator delets are not a good idea. All they really do is cause droning noises at low RPMs when on highways. If you want a better sounding exhaust, that is not the way.

Truly feel if these cars came with a tuned exhaust, they would sell even better. As a previous recent owner of a GT, I was impressed w/MPG, but the car was too large/boxy for practical everyday use. Styling was great for price point
