What’s even better is Pete the host of this interview used to host a metal radio show in early 2000s and played A LOT of melodic death metal bands... Will have to go into the archives to see if there’s an interview with Norther in there! 😉

Just add a little color to this great video the need for the IT jobs you mentioned will greatly increase as more Clinical Business Analyst & Digital Health degrees emerge!!! These are newer degree sets but the focus is on making financial cases for automation & optimization in hospitals & for quicker communication from Dr to insurance company so DRs/Nurses have more patient facing & care time than documenting time.. 💗🎉

Ai = standardized healthcare. If there is something wrong with the programming, it would be easy to audit. Individual practitioners, you have one million doctors, you get one million different styles of practice -> impossible to audit.

As a NSW Health Network engineer, It has been refreshing to see Networks and its dependencies regularly acknowledged in the past few years, the network is basically the foundation for every single device that sits on it and is dependent upon its reliability and security. Fabric is a new player for macro and macro segmentation allowing edge security such as ISE in Cisco, this allows for a converged network enhancing and improving the overall experience for all users. However a Health network goes far beyond this conversation.

Updoc owes me a important amount of money. Now i have to change all my details on my cards as westpac fraud sqaud sorts out the BS. Im very sick and not far from death, and rather then help me, they refunded my frist fee and said they would cancel the re-acuring fee's. Well due to not being alert, i realised i could afford to buy food, when nothing else changed in my spending. Thats when i was horrified to see a vital amount of my savings has been taken from these tyrants. My blood is still boiling and im way to sick to get this stress. They can rot in hell as far as im concerned. Thank God for Westpac Australia. They pointed out the theft as my eyes are failing to read properly now :( They new how sick and can't prescribe half of the meds i require. God bless Westpac for helping me (Simon was his name i believe) Sorry to rant, but it's a warning to others thinking of signing up with them.

With the multiple systems required in Health that primarily work autonomously, there is an urgency to interface / interconnect so that analytics with the aid of AI can be fully utilised, ultimately leading to improved outcomes of patient care. SDPR will drive some of this change.

With so many stakeholders in healthcare it feels like a complicated moving target doesn’t it! In the end if clinicians have more time to care for patients that’s a great start to success 🎯

I really relate to James' comments around that feeling of wanting "more and more acquisiton" for your startup, only to find once you get a fraction more, problems in your operation begin to arise. For us it's really been a see-saw between seasons of wanting more water in the bucket, and then conversely seasons of frantically patching holes - and I think that's a healthy dynamic for an emerging company to have.
@talkinghealthtech Жыл бұрын
💯 Josh - and reassuring to be reminded that it’s a healthy dynamic - when you’re deep in that motion it can feel far from healthy! Timely reminded for sure 🙏🏻

This also needs to be offered to rural locums, gave licences set up and have on-line training. I had to drive 500km out of my way in my own time to get training. If you are serious about helping clinicians adopt this, the barriers need to come down. Come on Microsoft, let’s have a virtual training portal for remote clinicians.

I work in the same HHS but in one of the small single doctor rural hospitals and I have very recently adopted Dragon and it’s saving me so much time. My main complaint is that these technologies are not offered to understaffed rurals in a timely fashion. Effective use of truly time-saving medical record tech is a big part of addressing the rural workforce crisis that is just not being pursued.
