Passed today with an 82!!!! Thank you. Use this to cram at the end of your drone pilot training program. It definitely helped.

The abbreviations on the TAF are stupid as hell. Just friggin write it out instead of having a brain aneurism. Even the teacher is stumbling over it. That's absurd to memorize. All for a drone. wow

I can’t believe the number of people falling into the farce of the FAA trying to force people into taking a test like this. 90% of these questions aren’t really relevant to drone flying. . Weather is not a factor in flying a drone in the sense you need to understand weather maps dew points and other nonsense. For any realistic drone flying you can go out look at the sky and see is it’s too windy, cloudy or rainy. As a pilot I would like drone flyers to understand importance is airspace and be respectful of that but good sense would dictate that . Hopefully anyone with a brain would know dangers of drones over people , dangers on buzzing crowds without a test.Basically this test and license is just another bureaucratic power grab and pay for play scheme. In my mind it’s another governmental incursion into our rights AMEN 😂

Let's go with "High altitude density" and not "high density altitude".
@stevey810317 күн бұрын
Private pilot here... hoping to add some clarity to the High Density altitude question (1:16). Density altitude is the altitude that the aircraft "thinks" it's at, due to the "thinness" of the air (as explained). The term "High Density Altitude" means that even if the drone is only at 200 ft, it "believes" that it's flying at a very high altitude, because there isn't as much density to the air. Hope this helps.

"High density altitude and low density altitude" are poor choices for word order. It's confusing. It should be High altitude density which, logically, would be low density air and Low altitude density which, logically, is higher density air.

Nice video. Much appreciated to help prepare for the exam. One suggestion. Use a font in bold with 100% black i.e., RGB 0%, 0%, 0%. That would be easier to read with less eye strain. Thank you.

Oh yeah worth mentioning for anybody that is active duty, reserves, or national guard, you can take the exam for free at any military instillation that is approved or certified to proctor the exam! Most cases, there will be some place that is nearby. Usually an air base or training command.

Cut an 87 on the test! It's a good thing I watched this video because this helped A LOT! THANK YOU! They say that the majority of the questions would have risk management and procedures but it was the opposite. Most of the questions covered airspace and sectional charts, which your videos helped a ton! Thank you so much!

It's easy to determine when flying in class e airspace if it's shaded magenta the airspace starts at 700 AGL if it's shaded blue it starts at 1200 AGL.

At 2:02:24 the "stall question" is confusing. According to the AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association) website, under "A closer look at stall speed", it states the following: Stall speed increases as weight increases. It also states that weight and center of gravity location affect stall speed, sometimes significantly! The tricky part is that the AoA doesn't change. The Aircraft will have to increase speed to keep from stalling, but the AoA doesn't change. I got confused when reading that question. The very next question is also quite confusing. I don't exactly know how you would "Maim" a cloud. Even if I could find a way, I don't know how the suffix 'nimbus' could be used in " maming" clouds? Again, we are supposed to read each question carefully several times to make sure we comprehend what the question actually says!

There is question reference elevation. It’s the elevation of the ground, not the towers.

On the question about the elevation south of Minot,the elevation you was looking at on the towers was the elevation at the top of the tower.The number under the elevation is the height of the tower.You have to subtract the height from the towers elevation elevation to get the ground elevation which is below below 2500".

I passed my test today and nearly every question I had referenced a sectional chart and dealt with what type of airspace, AGL/MSL, and whether I needed authorization to fly there. It was quite confusing since the charts are tiny and finding a “tower” “approximately 10nm SE” of an airport isn’t always a given.

When the pilot announced that he was on a left base to 31, he has announced that he will be starting a left turn to line up for final approach approach to land on rwy 31. So this means that he is south of the airport.

the number of the runway indicates which way the wind is blowing. airport 31 is 310 degrees left of north and the runway would be active that day because the air would be blowing in from 310 degrees north. so base of runway would be upwind at the begging of the runway and left of that would be south of the runway.

Made it to the end and will probably go through it again after I print out the Airman Knowledge Test Supplement. Very Good info and I’ll focus on finding more info on the ones you found confusing. If I know those and have a solid grasp on the rest of the material, I should pass. Is wanting a high score to impress people Machoism?

The key to the question at 1:28 is knowing that if the airplane is on a left base for 31 it is going to land on 31. The base is just before the turn to final, so it has to be south. The winds don't matter since we know it will be on a 310 course when landing.
