As the owner of a 2012 Sierra (with the 6.2L engine) for over a year now: -The top of the dashboard is cracked -I have had the "service 4wd" as well as a "service trailer brake system" message randomly pop up a handful of times -The only "vibrations" I have are if I try to very slowly increase speed, slowly easing the gas petal down. This causes a vibration sound similar to that of going over a rumble strip, but there is no palpable vibration, and it won't want to upshift or really give itself more power -The infotainment screen is glitchy whenever you press a button(I am no longer able to change the clock now) or whenever it is wet out

Toyota’s have their issues too. Friend of mine has one that needed the entire chassis replaced and was never in an accident. Just bought a 16 Suburban, so far so good. But I’ll keep my 08 Tahoe until the Suburban has proved itself. Good maintenance plan keeps them going long and strong. The Tahoe has over 300,000 miles on it and still runs and drives great. But again, they’re not perfect. All vehicles have their issues.

I have 2017 gmc sierra 1500. With 80 thousand miles. Bad Transmission bad head lights bad ac. To many problems for a gmc truck. Im going back to dodge ram.😡

Had a 2017 Sierra 4x4 Elevation. AC went out at 40k miles and transmission went out at 67k miles and never even towed anything. Traded it in for a 2020 Tundra and couldn’t be happier with my decision.

Our 2015 tahoe is the worst car we have ever gotten. Our problem now is out steering wheel won't move. Chevy dealership claims computer needs to be updates and it'll cost us up to $400 out of our pocket for the uptate and programming. 😡 Very disappointing. Don't recommend anyone buying a 2015 and up Chevy tahoe

I have a 2018 with 195,000 miles. I’ve replaced the transmission, the fuel pump, and the A/C lines. But maintenance is always expected. I love my 18 Sierra crew cab!

I had Toyotas for all my life, now I need a bigger car, so I was considering tahoe or suburban, but watching this video show that American cars have a poor reliability issue, I have to stick with Toyota and Honda.

Gmc and chevy trucks prior to 2013 were the last of decent trucks. I had 08 gmc drove it for 350k and the tranny finally went out. The engine was still going strong. Was a good truck for me. I will not buy anything above 2014

My brakes failed pulling out of my driveway. Also transmission fluid was always burnt looking even though I changed the fluid and filter every summer. Terrible ride too. Regret buying it. Was a pos.

I own a gmc sierra 2014. I would never buy another on my 3rd ac compressor, replaced ball joints, fuel pump, had to have fuel injection cleaned, ac water pump, ac delco batteries only last 1 1/2 to years. All this within first 4 years. Now I’m starting to see rust on frame in spots. Driver assiste is out. AV outlet quit working after about year. I could go on and on about this truck. Don’t like ford so will get rid of as soon as I find something else.

Excellent! Last year I bought a xlt crew cab 5.0 2016 with 17k miles only. I have 33k and I take really care about this truck. The 2016-2017 5.0 are the most bulletproof f150 you can get.

Bought my 2017 5.0 f150 new with 300 plus miles on it. Changed oil every 3k miles. I'm at 86k now and looking at cam phaser replacement. I've replaced the intake manifold and actuators on the back of it. Just replaced the vct solenoids today. This is my 4th and probably last f150/Ford ill own. I can't get one past 100k miles with some costly repair.

My 2020 Chevy Tahoe transmission went out at 34,000 miles 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️. Thank God I still have my 2002 Chevy Avalanche!

2014 gmc Denali 6.2, 123,500 miles. Had magneride delete. Can run regular shocks now. Have a afm plug in “delete”. Have had the motor loose compression but was under warranty and my ac stopped working. Other than that I love my 2014 gmc sierra.

Purchased brand new 2500hd Silverado. Right off the lot NO A/C. Compressor was bad within the first 500 miles of driving!!!! Dealer said part needed was a National Backorder and after my truck sitting on the lot 3 months I had no choice but to pull it out being that it was needed tor work as a tow truck. Ended up paying $800 to replace because of the first summer heatwave being a week away. Transmission went into safe mode due to a bad solenoid. Had to drive it through the gear shifts on the shift lever for that amount of time till they received the part. Heard these issues with many other Silverado owners. Ranging from 2015 to 2024. They quick with these massive marketing commercials but don't hold themselves responsible with these repairs for unless u allow them to hold your 65k truck hostage for months and months. Professionaly irresponsible sales ethics!!!!!

I have a beautiful 2012 extended cab Sierra , it's got a hundred and seventy thousand miles. I got a 6-inch lift kit, fuel 20-in rims on some 35s Ridge Grapplers , she's absolutely beautiful, Dodge and Ford owners just love to hate that Chevys and GMCs are far better looking trucks. Luckily I can fix all those problems myself, if the motor goes out I can pull one out of the junkyard for a hundred bucks and swap it out for a 6 l tranny myself as well . I love my GMC Sierra!

I've wanted a Tahie for as long as I can remember. I worked as a claims adjuster for several years and thought it was really odd that a majority of claims involving a Tahoe had fatalities. I don't know what their safety ratings look like but too many potential issues, death among them, I'm gonna pass.
