Ever since Adobe bought Substance, I moved over to Marmoset for my texturing for my 3D Works, gonna do a week long practice in it to get the hang of it and also ZBrush, though expensive, I think is really good, but yeah if you can't afford it or have a Student Licesne, highly recommend modeling in Blender.

The fact that blender doesn't have a eyedrop shortcut after all these updates is just insane! (I know you can hover your mouse to color tab and then enter colorpicker shortcut but why should I even hover the mouse to that? Can't i just color pick with a single button in texture mode?

Buddy just to let you know there is a cheaper license that's the company license but there's a Maya indie license that goes for $200 yes it's still a little bit expensive but it's there if you want to figure it out but I still get it if you want to be on blender everyone has their own comfortable software it just matters that we all learn and keep on growing just And share our knowledge as a community of 3D Artists

Just one thing. Godot is managed by the Godot Foundation not W4Games. W4Games is an entirely separate private company that just happens to be created by many Godot higher ups to provide services specifically for Godot that also contributed code and funding back to the Godot open source project. It doesn't manage the project.

ngl as a former user of autodesk maya, jumping to blender was quite a wild ride like this one lol it took some getting used to but my god is it way simplier to use when all I wanted was to make a vrchat avatar on my old laptop haha and at the time, maya on my old laptop ran like a powerpoint slide show and it wasn't even rendering the full thing yet, I was just editing. And blender ran smooth like butter. I'm thankful to have given blender a chance and more importantly express my work with it.

Wow!! This video amazing, great job at all the visuals & editing! The owl chara is very cool. Also thank you for the good audio balancing/mastering, even with the funny yell scenes and such you didn't peak or clip the audio to oblivion and hurt my ears! Masterpiece right here :)

blender used to break my neck as a ongoing game designer who only could draw 2d. Now I want to propose to them (while blender still breaks my neck and every other bone in my body)

without these free software I can do nothing, since I'm not using pirated software. may God bless all who contributed on these free software. and people always support them like donating and all

Blender has a lot of shortcomings and frustrating aspects to its design. If you've ever tried making high-poly models and baking their details onto low-poly, game-ready assets you know how much of a pain that can be. Add-ons make it easier and less of a pain but the best ones are paid and cost a lot. I still love it though because it's free and ours to keep and has so much potential to improve. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who got spooked by Unity's self-destruction.
