I have worked in the ski industry for over 40 years. Fortunate to get to test lots of new models. While you have selected very good models for skiing on and off piste I have several other models that absolutely rival those chosen. The Blizzard Rustler series especially the Rustler 9 (96mm underfoot) and Rustler 10 ( 102mm underfoot) and the Nordica Enforcer 94, 99 and 104 are all new for the 24/25 season. These models have been in my ski quiver especially for skiing some world class off piste terrain and powder at Alta, Utah, USA. The Rustler or Enforcer has been my choice and I have access to many different brands.

Great to do this test as its defo a category which is up and coming, missing a number of up and coming brands, Especially the faction ski's, the name is visible in the backgound, why not test them, the dancer(was the old dicatator) is epic ski, both on and off piste...I'm also a little puzzled to the mention of short turn in the deep powder criteria....with an all mountain ski its important to be able to freeride, off piste is longer and wider, so shorter terms is difficult....

Best ski photography tips of KZbin!

Got one free (Hero 4 Silver) from my neighbour who bought a storage locker. Came with charger and three batteries. Had to buy a case and a few things, but it worked great on a recent 600km motorcycle trip. I think I need new batteries, because lifespan was not great, even after shutting off wifi and not using the phone app. Overall, it's very good.

I prefer the black pearl over the line pandora hold up better on crud and ice

I have skied the Magnum 8.0 ca for 10 years and this remains one of my favorite all time skis. Classic construction and sidewall. Unbelievable durability. Hard to retire these skis as they ski so well and never break down. An all time classic in my opinion. The fabulous reviews of this ski are well warranted.

Could the flax layer go under the carbon fiber? I think it would be slick to keep the carbon as the top layer

In my experience with Voiki skis, I encountered a concerning issue with the reinforced toe edge. Despite the reviewer's claim of durability, my personal skiing at Beaver Creek on regular downhill terrain resulted in the toe edge getting significantly bent out of shape by the end of the day. This unexpected deformation raises serious safety concerns for skiers, and based on my experience, I cannot recommend these skis due to the potential risks they pose on the slopes.
