Why did they change the name from Essondale to Riverview?

It was changed around 1966. Apparently some thought "Essondale" made the facility sound even more ominous because of it's "hiss" and "Riverview" sounded nicer, like some kind of golf course or suburb.

fuck its a shame we cant explore anymore due to people vandalizing spraying breaking windows real shame what youngster wont understand what history is in our local culture my god i couldnt walk through without being stopped by security every 5 minutes
