Hey Phil! Interesting brace of videos. I remember as a child in the early 90's being showed around a local Fleet Air Arm base near to where I lived. The Navy bloke showing us around stood below a huge radar dish whirly-gigging it's merry way about and said to us "If you climb that ladder over there and stand in front of that dish, in 10 seconds flat you'd be cooked like a Sunday chicken." It had quite the impact on young me. We are all told that the mobile phone waves are perfectly safe because the power is much less than that. But us musicians know one or two things about standing waves and amplification. Funny, I wrap my bank cards in an RF shield, as I don't want anyone to be able to poach my chip data. But I don't do the same for my squishy bits. I'll take a look at PureNature, Cheers bud!
@philcorymusic2 ай бұрын
That's really interesting, I think with all the toxic things in food and other materials that get put into bodies its quite important to avoid that being impacted on and us getting as you say cooked. I think you will find the product beneficial. Thanks as ever Dude, I appreciate the support very much. 👍🙂👍

@@philcorymusic It's terrifying if you start to look into it. I think most live in the bubble of ignorance as it's much easier than accepting the hard truth. We are a bit luckier in Europe that the Commission seems to take food safety more seriously than some other first world countries. Of course that didn't stop the Tefelon scandal from happening. I hope for the sake of future generations that we could never make another mistake like that again. To move into a 10 acre Faraday cage and grow my own food........That's the dream!😆

Bought this book a few months back and Even though I do think it's a great book with some really good info on the science of these guitars I was Disappointed in how many well-known bursts were not in this book. For instance Bernie Marsden's beast is not in it, Bonamassa's Skinner burst is not in it and many other well known bursts are not featured in the book. Book was not cheap either cost me $50!

Thanks for watching 👍👍 I hear you yep, the book was first around in 1996 though so the prices of Bursts were just starting to get silly at this time. Sounding great again Phil. Loving that tone you're getting out of the Epi. What looper pedal do you use, and would you recommend it? I've been looking for one a while, there are some cheap-cheap ones, and there are ones that go up to 11. I don't like wasting my money on junk, but love a bargain. 😆 All the best! ✌
@philcorymusic2 ай бұрын
Hey thanks very much for the support! 🙏🙏 Standard Epiphone Pickups in that Guitar Rock, before I played it I had considered I may swap them but there is really no need. The looper is an ancient Bulletproof Boss RC20 XL. I have only ever needed to clean some fluff out from the insides which was causing a short, apart from that it is very dependable. I think you can pick them up for 150usd/euro nowadays. I've used it everywhere. Those enormous ones are great but I like the battery power option on this. ❤️

Very welcome fellow. What Guitar do you play? 🤔
@theoriginaldylangreene2 ай бұрын
@@philcorymusic I've only got 3 electrics Phil. My first guitar was a Jackson, with Duncan humbuckers and Floyd Rose (Don't judge me, I was really into metal 😆) But I don't play it much any more. The neck is a bit too skinny and the fretboard too flat. When I started playing in bands, I bought an Epiphone LP custom (two pickup not the black beauty) from a bandmate to gig with. He'd put Gibson burstbuckers in it, which sound great to me, but I never experienced the standard eipi pickups. Then a few years back I got a good deal on a Japanese Tokai strat copy. It's so perfect that I haven't touched the pickups or hardware. Between the lp and the strat I can find most of the tones I like. But I'd love a hollowbody jazz box, or a semi-hollow at some point to explore those tones. How about yourself Phil, I imagine you have plenty of guitars, perhaps a video of your collection at some point? 😄
@philcorymusic2 ай бұрын
@@theoriginaldylangreene Very interesting. I never owned a Jackson but have tried them, impossibly skinny necks yep, amazing really, well built too. The Epiphone Custom with Gibson Buckers is a great move, a major part of Gibsons tone is in the pups. Tokai were the lawsuit Guitars, very high quality clones so that should rock. I have always found Strats too much really though. As far as Jazz Box or Semihollows go there are some great options around. It all depends on your budget and where you want to perform with the instrument, hollow ones are a real challenge in a rock band but it didn't stop Ted Nugent I guess. I might put in a few in depth videos on Guitars at some point, thanks for the interest. 🙏🙏🙂🙏🙏

@philcourymusic. The Butterfly were all living together in Laurel Canyon and Ron Bushy came home after selling pizza on the street for 18 hrs( as he was supporting them all.) So he found Doug Ingle at home drunk and said sarcastically to him, "So what have you been doing all day? Doug said he wrote a song. Ron said, "What's it called?" Doug being drunk said "In A Gadda da Vida." So Ron wrote it down. It was supposed to be In A Garden of Eden.
