8:23 - Excellent choice doing it on foot first.
@culartravel8 ай бұрын
Thanks! My feet were wet already so I didn't care about that anymore haha.
@whimsicalvagabond69068 ай бұрын
@@culartravel - I'd recommend doing that even if your feet aren't wet. It gives you an idea of depth, and obstacles on the stream bed. Also you can feel for round and sharp edged stones/rocks that could cause you to fall, or shred your tyre. You can also feel how fast the current is and clear a path before you get your motorcycle in. Do it even if your feet are dry. Imagine your wheel sliding on a smooth rock and getting a large rock wedged in your spoke. Essential to be doubly careful on solo trips.
@culartravel8 ай бұрын
@@whimsicalvagabond6906 best advise indeed, although it's always hard to exactly follow the path you walked so I think a lot of luck was involved. Somewhere later in Peru I got a similar situation with a strong current that it really mattered where I crossed.

The numbers don't make sense. The current blue dollar rate is 1,100 to 1 USD. 300 USD dollars should get you over 300,000 pesos, not 114,000.

@@JW-ku7nn Make sure to know what the day rate is, they should bring you to a little office instead of exchanging on the street. There will be a lot of people asking you, perhaps wait a little after someone else has changed money or go together with someone else. Have fun!

This first video might be a bit 'boring' in terms of what I show you, but it's really important❕ for the rest of the videos to understand how I share price details of activities or hostels/hotels. If you're new here, this is just a tiny example of how all my videos are full of practical information and not just showing beaitufl places.
