Thanks so much! As I only played the demo it’s difficult to share actual final thoughts. But the mechanics and the narrative this far are definitely very promising. Also the very good quality of the rules is a sign of a solid design.

@ I have heard a lot of people saying they really like Arydia; that should an interesting one! I did not get the Dark Prophet expansion, the package I bought was one of the original Kickstarter bundles, I think. But I think there is enough there to keep me busy for quite a while. I’m sure I will buy the expansion in time …. I may have a problem with impulse control - lol

@ I have no idea, sadly. I got an email verification of the sale from von Braus, but they haven’t shipped yet. The sale was flagged as “for US purchasers only,” so I assumed it was from stock here in the US or Canada (maybe a dumb assumption on my part … we believe what we want to believe - haha). If it is coming from Sweden (very possible), then that may explain the high cost of shipping! Anyway, I am reasonably confident that I will hear soon that it is shipped - it’s still the Christmas season, after all, so I imagine there are a lot of people off on holiday still. My experience with Kickstarter over the years has bred an “it will get here when it gets here” kind of zen attitude in me (… ohmmmmm), and that has bled over into simple retail purchases too. Enjoy the remainder of the weekend!

This is not necessarily my experience. For the Harry Potter game that’s a straight fact - the more players, the more „deadly“ it gets. The James Bond Legendary game is also more difficult with 2 players. Here you have a ton of cooperation cards, which are not as helpful at lower player counts…

@@realjplay Hi - we've 60 recorded plays of the LE-Alien and we get regularly slaughtered at 4-player count (we don't even bother with five 😄). The maths say it all - 33 Hive cards (without drones added) so that gives players the following number of rounds (as well as the 'drone' rounds) to purchase enough cards for their deck for the end game; 16 for 2, 11 for 3, 8 for 4. Add to that the very few methods for thinning out starter cards and the game is deadlier than the films😁. Of course always possible that you play better than we do 😉 !

I very much doubt the very final part of that and I only played this particular "Legendary" version maybe around 15 times, but also with various different player counts (ranging from 2-4), so my statistic is rather weak! :-D Thanks for the analysis!

You really get a lot with the expansion: a whole new board, the cards etc. But I believe you still need all the player tokens, which are part of the base game I suppose.
