Everyone expects free everything these days. People have this mentality that since software isn't something you can hold in your hands, that it should be free. Quality software requires time, knowledge, expertise, and people who deserve to get paid for development of said software. If you're crying about $29, maybe, just maybe, you should find a job, or a better job than your 15 hour a week barista position.

In this day and age, this level of functionality is a high price to pay for an update. This kind of approach is likely to result in a decrease in the number of users.

Hi there! We want to be clear: This is not an update but rather an entirely new product and large set of presets to be used within BEAM. You can always update BEAM to the newest version without ever owning Time and we will never require users to pay for routine updates and improvements.

Don't get this plugin if you use FL. There is a GUI bug that makes it unusable. They didn't even fix the issue with this latest update. Save yourself some 'Time' and money and get ShaperBox or Infiltrator instead

I'm using windows also. Windows 11. Is your version of FL up-to-date? My waves plug-ins were doing the same thing a long time ago and I realized that I haven't update FL in awhile. It fixed it.

They initially sold Beam with the promise they were working on developing it further with new modules. Now they reveal that we need to pay again to get those. Would have been better to have been upfront about that from the start. Feels like a bit of a swizz.

Hi there! We appreciate your perspective, but we were very clear upfront that some new features would be paid while others would be free. We released a big free update for BEAM in May with new features and presets, and we will continue to offer free updates. However, Time is an entirely new plugin within BEAM, and took many months to develop with a large team of programmers and sound designers. Time also includes a large set of new presets, so we feel this pricing is very fair. We try to keep our pricing affordable and also offer substantial loyalty discounts to users who have already purchased other BEAM products. We hope that makes sense!

@@yove2934 If they'd have been clear about this at the outset, I actually wouldn't have minded and would probably have purchased this. My only disappointment comes from the way they went about this. It definitely wasn't clear on the product page nor on the sponsored content influencer videos.

Can you link to where you explained the nodes would be charged for? Maybe it was on a blog post or something? I cannot find that now even while actively searching for it. The messaging I understood was effectively 'yes it's sparse to start with, but buy now and we'll keep adding to it'.

This looks interesting and I'm tempted to try it out, althought the build in effects sound generic, boring and flat. But as a sucker for pure sample mangling, I´m still interested. But I have one question: Can the Cube's animation itsself be turned static? It makes me dizzy looking "into" that shaking box. Thank you.
