I really like The Tundras but wish they were still V/8s that’s why my favorite first choice is the Nissan Titan but it is going away the Customers rate Titan better then Tundra I have accepted the Tokyo brothers over everything that Detroit puts out the only U.S. truck that can go toe to toe the Tokyo brothers is Ram Ford is junk & the wonder twins from GM arnt worth the protective plastic that they use to protect the seats during transport
@coolbigrigs9 күн бұрын
Absolutely love your critique of vehicles.. Hilarious. 😂🤣 But honest and genuine. I agree with you when it comes to the Tokyo Brothers. Too bad the Tundra went to sixes. RAM is the only choice when it comes to buying a durable "pickup." I am a GM guy, however will admit that I miss the GM platform of old. Never been a Ford guy. Very easy to see that current day GM and Ford pickups are basically Boulevard cruisers. That said, I would take all the aforementioned trucks before buying a ridiculous cyber truck.. 🤣 Thanks for watching the video. Greatly appreciate it. . Drop back again. All the best in 2025👍😎.

Thankyou I was hoping that Mack would produce a pick up truck for the general public use they would be smart to team up with Nissan & turn that Titan into a P/U truck Mack already uses the Titan monicker on one of there big Class 8s

Hi Chester... another great video, heaps to look at and comment on 🤣... 3.16 the W900 carting rolled grass, very Aus/NZ style trailer with the dolly tucked under the deck, cool looking rig.... 10.54 the red W900 logger, is there a gantry close by where the trailer is lifted onto the truck for the piggyback ride ?? and I think I have mentioned before about the T800 being the most popular rig in this environment, sloping hood, setback front axle, same sort of deal with the T659 here in Aus and in NZ, we are slowly getting a few in our fleet .... hope you are keeping well ? and I wish you all the best for the festive season and look forward to many more videos in the new year 👌👌 Merry Christmas and happy New Year to you all .. Hi Chester... great video ... Some pretty cool features at work here, being able to slide a vehicle backward and forward means you can adjust very small amounts without hitting another car.... each parking spot is maneuverable with exception of a couple of lower decks, I'm not sure how long a trailer like this would last on Australian roads though ?, and having checked for the height on the web, it's pretty amazing to get a full size pickup over the cab, with 13'6 being the limit.... thanks again Chester, love your work and hope your keeping well ?, been off the road for a couple of weeks, week off with my son and truck getting a new bullbar and cleaned up, hopefully back on the road tomorrow .. cheers Wilson

Happy New Year, Wilson. Sorry for the delayed reply. I was sick for quite a while with a stomach flu over the holidays. It's making its way through Canadian cities here on the west. My first time experiencing stomach flu, I wanted to plant my head in the Earth and not have it appear ever again. 😂 Not a pleasant thing. I haven't much time to write since getting better, only being healthy enough to post a few Instagram shots,, but do you want to thank you for always tuning into my channel. I always look forward to your entertaining comments and letters. Truly hope you're doing well and the weather is cooperating with work. Glad you had time off to spend with your son. Quality time with family is everything. Ironic, I just removed the bull bar from my RC truck. I spent US$300 on a new aluminum, handmade grill so I want it to be exposed. 😀 I hope to have my RC truck completed this year so I can show it off. It's been in the works for five years now. Sorry again for the delayed reply, Wilson. Just wanna wish you and yours all the best in 2025. Chester😎🎉💪🥃

Hi Chester, great video 👌👌so much going on and many observations I have noticed not only in this video, but most of your other video's, the " oversize load "' signs 😒what a pain they must be to tie on each time ??, simpler would be just the words " over size '' four letters on each side of your bumper and the rear on flip down signs like we have if you are doing a lot of long stems ..... the big observation is the set back front axle and sloping hood..... interesting that between Canada, Australia and New Zealand, the setup is extremely popular, you have the T800 and now the T880 and we have the T659 ( still to be updated to what ever is next, KW factory in Melbourne is too small and can't keep up with demand, 2 year wait list for some models ) my boss has 5 or 6 new T659s for towing double road train side tippers and will probably get more at some stage, and in NZ, T659s seem to be king of the logs, set up as twin steer rigids with 4 or 5 axle trailers. the setback axle gives for better turning and the sloping hood the visibility, and personally I think they are more comfortable than the T909... and that green tri drive W900 with the stems was great looking ride and can't forget that you added a couple of Mack's for me 🥰🥰 bet that CL 700 has some miles on the clock ?? and still in good nick.... anyway, enough for today, thanks again for the video and hope you are keeping well.. cheers Wilson P.S . sorry for the long reply... No I'm not, love trucks as much as you 🤣🤣 👍👍

Hi Chester, great video 👌... A curtain sider trailer, something of a rarity in your neck of the woods and most certainly in the lower 48, pretty common down under, even my car carrier trailers have curtains which are a bloody pain .... international trucks, never really got to as popular as the fancy guys like KW and Peterbilt, considering they all have pretty much the same running gear, I've never seen an International Paystar before, looked very much like an '' S '' line, bit of usless info for you, they build International trucks in New Zealand including cab overs... and the road profiler brings back memories for me back in about 98 99 operating one here in Perth, really good fun... thanks again for the great video....and keep weel and warm 👌 cheers Wilson

@coolbigrigs2 ай бұрын
Hey, Ray, thanks for connecting. Summer 2024 certainly was a dry season. We enjoyed some spring rain, however intense 37-40°C heat of July and August totally depleted what little moisture there was in the forest floor. Around 85% of the video footage was filmed this past summer. Thank goodness wildfire season passed without doing much damage around the North Okanagan region. I wasn't looking forward to relocating had warnings gone up.. Wildfire however did devastate some regions of northern British Columbia. The entire province desperately needs a wet 2024/2025 winter. so far Fall has been much cooler and wetter than last season.. There's 30 cm of snow already at the higher peaks surrounding Vernon. A cold winter will help kill the pine beetle infestation which is destroying British Columbia's softwood resource. As much as I dislike winter I can put up with a few cold months, as long as the cold temperatures do their thing. Our local ski resort needs a profitable season. Last winter was not the best. Not much new with me, Ray. just trying to remain healthy. Hope to post more videos out soon. Stay safe out there. We'll chat next video. I always appreciate your kind words and viewership. Chester.👍😎

Hi Chester, great video... so many moving parts on your car transporters compared to ours, mine is pretty basic with 3 lifting decks on each trailer... I have made a video of me loading it, but I can't seem to upload it to KZbin 🤔🤣🤣.... took me about 4.5 hours to survey and photograph each vehicle going on and get 9 loaded up and ready to head back to Darwin in the morning...... those Volvo's were of a decent age, I'm sure they have a few million K's on them too.... didn't think they still made Humvee's 🤔 and the price you are quoting is a little better than here in Oz considering the $$ is always very close ... and that was a sweet Pete with the grain B train... very nice 😎😎 cheers again for the great video and take care ...cheers Wilson
@coolbigrigs3 ай бұрын
@@wclearwater1 Hi Wilson, glad you're doing well. When I first approached the Volvos my thoughts exactly, "These Volvos have a few million K on them." All appeared in great operating order. Volvo quality. You mentioned "trailer comparison" from country to country. It certainly amazes me how manufacture companies approached their trailer design. But this argument goes for all trailers spanning each province, state and territory. Here in Canada, each province has mandated regulations for axle spacing & weight capability. I would think regulations would be universal across the country. Would make things easier on manufacturing and the operating pocketbook. Yes, General Motors reintroduced the GMC Hummer in 2022 after a 12-year absence since their discontinuation in 2010. The year GM went bankrupt . Still hard to believe such a company could go bankrupt? Takes a smarter brain than mine to that fiasco out. Lol. The 2024 Hummer EV is priced between CAD $250,000 and $300,000, depending on options. The Hummer weighs 4500 kg, ...1500 kg alone for the battery. 1000 hp. Depending on which Drive mode is chosen. Happy to read you're still transporting autos. The trip down to Darwin must be a pretty good one.👍 I watched a loading of nine cars once here in Vernon. Very impressed with the diligence and effort to get all 9 loadedin their spot for a height and weight logistics. I really respected the driver. The weather was 36 Celsius with no shade. The last to go on the trailer was a Ford F350 crewcab Dually. The biggest challenge of his day. I helped a little with visuals, and eventually he was on his way. Much respect to you, Wilson, traversing Oz to get new vehicles to new owners. Stay safe out there.👍😎

hi Wilson, thanks for watching the TransCanada Highway videos. This trip occurred in May. Took a while to get it edited. Thank goodness traffic is low at this time of year hence the lack of transport trucks rolling down the highway. Another reason we don't see Jamie Davis. Lol. It's only a short 4 Hour Dr. from my place to the destination in the video. Also, Severe thunderstorm drenched the mountains along the Coquihalla section of the TransCanada washing out major Bridges and embankments. A lot of road construction visible in the videos. The female voice heard is my friend Megan. Her son Robert is driving, resting in the backseat is their dog Roman. The dog is heard sneezing at one point. I leant my GoPro camera to Robert so he could film the Trip. I have travelled the highway but not during Summer. . Thank goodness the weather has cooled down. We are experiencing pleasant 24C afternoons which is great to get out to film trucks. At this moment Im editing two new videos which I'll post either today or tomorrow. Cannot believe the price of a new Ford F350! Wow! That's the price of the 2024 Kenworth W900 loaded with options. shipping down under certainly is pricey. I agree, the wise thing is to look for preowned trucks. at least you'll have something left over to buy a wheel or two. I hope you're doing well? Sending positive vibes down under. Chester

Mate, I felt bad that you couldn't view the time lapse videos so I made a point to re-edit the video so you can see the trucks drive at normal speed. Glad you enjoyed the video. I wanted to show everyone the area in which I live. The video was filmed back in May. It took a while to get it edited and posted. After a long summer of 38 C, I'm glad the weather has finally cooled -- the average temp for afternoons is 24 Celsius.. I'm back out videoing local trucks however the economy isn't the best. Tractor-trailer traffic is down 50% from two years ago. I'm trying to capture many trucks as possible. However, many are basic fleet trucks with very little coolness. Soon, the logging industry will be back in the forest and all the new trucks will be filmed for everyone's enjoyment. There's some really nice new loggers out there, beautiful chrome and paint schemes. Thanks again for watching. Hope you're doing great, mate. Sending positive vibes down under. Chester 👍😎
