The tribe is so incredible. Thank you all so much! We need to pressure the state to fill in that damn basin or find a way to drain it.

So water damaged and black mold dry wall/sheet rock’s supposed to be removed? Because CIHA didn’t repair their flooding hvac system, leaking plumbing, that ruined all my fiber art materials (I’m a certified tribal artist) that they still haven’t reimbursed, CIHA still hasn’t done all the repairs that requests have been sent to them many many times since May 2021- And they said all the black mold, moldy, water damaged dry wall/sheet just needs a coat of paint. They didn’t finish that repair either, they didn’t come back to put on the second coat. Have been saving portion of sales to help people that are also living with flood damage.

Day 1 of asking for english lyrics, because ive been trying to translate to learn tlingit and so many of the words i cant find in dictionaries/papers

It’s great that you are trying to learn the Lingít language! The 𝗜𝘅̱𝘀𝗶𝘅̱𝗮́𝗻, 𝗔𝘅̱ 𝗞̱𝘄𝗮́𝗮𝗻 youth group that produced this video did not share the English translation with us so I’m not able to provide that to you. I’ve reached out to Tlingit & Haida’s Cultural Heritage & Education Division to see if the Tribe’s Lingít language specialist can assist. If you would like to reach out to the division directly, please email [email protected].

This is the most beautiful airliner scheme I have seen! Kudos to Alaska Airlines (my favorite airline) for honoring the beauty of our Indigenous cultures. The 1:400-scale model in my collection of diecast airplanes will soon be joined by a 1:200-scale version. I hope to see this beautiful airplane in person - or, even better, fly on it! ♥

I don’t know why the flute music was chosen but I think it’s awesome touch because Tlingit had a number of flute across our country and had to have used it often yet no dance group utilizes the kind of flute we had. When the last time any of us sang a song or heard a song with our old style flute? That’s a big part of our history and fits right in at the end of this document, Gunalchéesh.
