Hey , I love absurdist philosophy by Camus and am planning to purchase "the myth of Sisyphus" ... Can you plz tell me how many pages this edition has? And can you please provide a brief experience of going through the book. I'm excited
@leslieklau

This is the Penguin Publications edition which is 133 pages, so it is quite a short book. Regarding my experience of reading this, it has been over two years since I read it so my memory of it is a little vague. I will say that the language used in the book is certainly not 'modern' as we may now be used to, but this is to be expected from writers of Camus' era, so that is something to note in terms of how one approaches and consumes works from this period. All in all, if you resonate with Camus' words in any way, what he shares in this book - and all his works, for that matter - are incredibly insightful, poignant, and timeless wisdom. Enjoy the read!

Thank you for your video. I do feel a kinship and I believe many others do as well. We all need to stand as one stronger we are individually stronger we are collectively. Everything in history has brought us to this moment and time whatever time is but it's now perhaps 2024 as props so you got the 24 right I don't think it's another 300 years. Just like Orwell's 1984 the missing by 40 years I believe it's 20 24 does that technology wasn't available then but it is now and has been for a long time yes the time is right for shambala warrior to rise and make a stand for the betterment of all human beings and we share this planet with cuz they got it all wrong. I do and I'm sure others since the return of the shamballa warrior in 2024. Or whatever that change me be that will benefit humankind not mankind and not one particular country it's all one country it's all one people it's all one consciousness collective consciousness collective as in for the people not a government not a society and individualism because we're each one individual soul is completely different than anyone else separate DNA fingerprint everything we get lumped till melting pot and we feel like we're just part of the humanary stew. If he doesn't come on the scene in the tune of about 8 billion people versus I don't know back to back Thorn potatoes maybe a million or two in other words .000000 to 1. We just cannot be afraid intimidated or persuaded because it's not about us it's about the future and that would be the children we need to make a pathway if we don't do it now when I hand it over to Total tyranny and the end of humanity. 👁️

Interesting question. I think it depends on the situation sometimes one talks only to fill space or to express an opinion. But I think that we should always think about what we will say so that we express our thoughts in the best way for others.
@leslieklau
@leslieklau 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for offering your thoughts Richard. Absolutely agree that it is dependent on context. And for sure, when the intention is to communicate one's own thoughts and opinions to another, the audience should absolutely be considered. What I also find fascinating and worthy of contemplation is 'why' we feel it necessary to fill space at times and express ourselves in others, and what this might tell us about ourselves 🙏🏼
