Lovely progress! Some of those dyed papers look like expensive vintage post cards. Crazy how black and white photos can make something look so expensive.

I'd recommend used book sales or thrift stores rather than the dollar store for books for altering. The selection is more eclectic and it's less wasteful than using a new book. (I'm also not a fan of dollar stores from a macroeconomic perspective.)

Ooh, such fun stuff! I especially loved the fabric collage with the mushrooms and that tiny journal at the end. Now I'm off to find an old book and throw some watercolour at it.

I love how you just rip the books covers off. It inspired me to be less careful and more grungy for when i make a grunge style junk journal.

I admire your sense of colors/style, and your tutorials are super helpful for your other channel. Figured you will be my door into the world of mixed media.

Traumatised on tearing of books, my heart breaks a little each time I see a rip 😅 Was once a librarian in school so I could never do that to any book. That said, your junk journals are gorgeous and I get why you do this. At least the books are getting a second life, a makeover vs forgotten and trashed for good.

Hi Hun! oh yeah I understand what you’re saying I too value books so much but these were going to go to the trash and I literally save them from the trash if I had donated them to a thrift store they probably would’ve trash them as well. at least I am reusing them and making them into another book so they can have another life as you say so glad you visited me here on this channel happy coloring.
