That is thee most beautiful knife sheath I have ever seen ! I’m a huge stag handle Bowie nut . They all have basic leather sheaths . I’m thinking for my big crown stag handle bowies , this would most definitely be a huge improvement on their appearance. Especially my custom Aldo Raine Inglorious Basterds Bowie . I am going to hire you . Yeah this is really awesome ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

@outlawbladesandleather did you invent that or was that done back then like that? It's awesome
@outlawbladesandleather13 күн бұрын
@ I don’t think the natives did it the way we do it today. I think they used straight rawhide with out the inner core of veg-tan leather. The way I do mine is more modern and I did not invent it. I learned from John Cohea who is renowned for this type of work.

hey buddy, beautiful piece! I was just about to ask what is the bit You using for cutting them holes in the handle, but you have said it is rubbish, I have another one what glue did you use on wood to metal, thanks for sharing!
@outlawbladesandleatherАй бұрын
@@qcrafted Hey Thanks man! Those bits are not complete junk. The pilot drill is crap. It only made it through the first hole then wouldn’t cut for nothing. Had to pre drill the remaining 5 pilot holes with a better bit then continued on with the main hole bit. It has carbon teeth so it worked ok. It just took a while to get through the 3/8 thick steel. I use Gflex epoxy to glue up the handles. Thanks for watching dude!

Great piece, great video. Now that I have said that, if you could handle a little constructive criticism, please lose the music. I have been following bladesmiths and blacksmiths for years and the audiences don't mind a little shop noise. The problem with music is that out of the millions of potential subscribers you will be lucky to find 10 percent that share your taste in music. So, kill the music, don't kill the music, I will still watch. New subscriber here. 😎 Oh yah, that scabbard was awesome.
