*I love my espresso machine but it had a defective pump.>>>**t.co/UNBe9yIgwK** Breville promptly sent me prepaid priority packaging to safely return the machine to them and the repaired machine was back to me in less than one week.*

Hi LaCimbaliUK i have a question, should i turn discharge the water in the reservoir from releasing water from the steam wand? And should the machine be turn off every night? Which would prolong the life of the machine?
@danjones300910 жыл бұрын
How about the steam wands? These espresso machine cleaning videos vary from one to the next. I suggest watching several and choose their suggestions you feel apply best. Middle of the road between them all I should think. Not rocket science really...

I work at Starbucks here in the States and we don't actually make flat whites (usually opt for lattes since people are always in a rush). I watched this video and made some for me and the guys at work and it was incredible!! Much better than a latte due to the fact that the milk AND micro foam is incorporated into the espresso creating a much, much smoother taste. Cheers!

Your espresso shot is starting and stopping. This won't be a good espresso as it's too slow. I like your commentary though. Especially the bit about milk at > 70C is too hot. You're latte aret is lovely as well. Are these really flat whites though? It looks like your pouring in micro foam. These honestly look like lattes to me. So what would you do different for lattesL Awesome tip on how to distribute the foam between the two drinks!

Angry Robot Coffee you sound like you know the difference between a f/white and a cafe latte. so what is it?
@ZaJaClt7 жыл бұрын
if ill pour into three cups, two wider 12oz and one 8oz tulip shape, cappuccino/latte and flatwhite being the latter, you take a spoon and scoop the foam on top to the side, flat white has very little amout of microfoam on top (you will see the milky coffee straight away as you scoop, latte's about double that (foam layer on top) cappucinno being anything more foamy than a latte, flat white = same amout of espresso as per a latte but less finished drink volume and milk thats stretched and not overfoamed

so... it's a latte.. with expired shots..?
@ZaJaClt7 жыл бұрын
it's a video, there are many cuts to it, she was grinding the first dose into a spouted handle but pulled the first shot in a spoutless naked one, so this couldve taken alot of time, to demonstrate the process freshness of the shot is less paramount

the best thing for you, if you are interested in coffee, is to get out from the big company. Get yourself a job in a small, independent coffee shop and you will discover another world of coffee.

eh a Londra il caffe' e' diverso che in Italia. Il flat white e' diverso dal latte, ma quelli che ha fatto lei non sono flat white, piu'ttosto due cappuccini! Tutti hanno le loro idee sul flat white...

How do you tell the barista to just pour just plain cold milk in it, what I mean is what is the name for it?
@ZaJaClt7 жыл бұрын
make me a latte with cold milk is the name for it :) or ask for an espresso and cold milk on the side
@Abshale11 жыл бұрын
People have a tendency to 'scratch' the milk too much, you only need to scratch for around 5/7 seconds to get perfect froth. Otherwise the milk will bubble and become impossible to smooth out.
@fretpuke12 жыл бұрын
It can also be tricky getting that creamy texture with skimmed or semi skimmed milk. Whole milk is the easiest.
@ecke7012 жыл бұрын
Probably your steaming. It is really important to get that swirling motion so the foam integrates properly with the rest of the milk. Try watchings some videos on youtube and see how they do it.
@flowersalexander12 жыл бұрын
I can never seem to get that kind of creamy finish to the milk like at the end of the video. Is it the kind of milk I am using or the way I am steaming it?

@NLaertes Thanks for your message. The machine shown in the video does have the same automatic function as your M39, where you can clean and rinse groups seperately or simaltaneously. The reason I did not use the function on this video was to reach more people who perhaps do not use our higher end traditional machines. We have just posted a series of basic training videos for Barista Beginners....i'd be keen to hear your thoughts. Regards Matt
