Yes, it is possible. You need to add your friend in a group (there is a button for that) and then search for a 2v2 ranked game. However, you cannot play 2v2 ranked game against your friend (i.e., You + player1 VS your friend + player2).

Yeah, I lost the game because I was not scouting effectively and my 2nd TC center was late while my opponent was booming his economy than producing many army. I produced many army than needed since my opponent was not attacking that much. Or, I could utilize my army to prevent his age-up and end the game eventually. Since I built 2nd TC late and did not utilize my army well before his economy booming, I lost the game.

@@arnobpl I was also wondering if maybe early on you split your knights up unnecessarily. Maybe if you'd kept them together as a blob you would have done a bit more damage in the early game. Not that I really know anything I'm only gold 1/2 myself 😂

I am also gold 1/2. I think, splitting knights was good if I could attack from different directions simultaneously (attack, run away, attack) instead of putting them as defensive as I did in the game. He did not have much army to defend my army in early stage.

@@arnobpl yeah true, I think it just looked like your army would have beaten his in one of the feudal fights if they were all together. It was definitely a close game either way, maybe we'll see each other in ranked sometime! I play China currently but I'm trying to learn Malian next.

​@@arnobplNo, that was actually weird in the beginning, cuz in the first 3 ages it sounded like spanish or something, but in the fourth age it become 90% similar to french, but when you remember that the source of french language is the old latin lunguage everything become clear 😅. Anyway, that was a good and well dominated game from you 👌

Thank you for insightful questions and watching the gameplay video! Let me share my perspective but bear that I am just a silver-ranked player. 1. I did not have enough unit/eco to fight against the barbican rush even though I saw it early. If you see at 5:10 , I had 236 food, 212 wood, 137 gold, 2 scouts and 21 villagers when I found Barbican rush. 2. That is a good question. My light cavalries i.e. horsemen were fighting against Chinese crossbows. Horsemen counter crossbows. But here, the number of crossbows was higher than the number of my horsemen. That is why all of my horsemen died but still I did great damage against crossbows. Also, I did not involve my costly knights against the enemy crossbows because crossbows counter knight and they were high in number as well. In this game, what I did, was slowly building my eco to have defense against barbican. For eco boost, I also built my second town center. The enemy did mistake by not attacking my villagers. So I could built my eco without any villager idle time or loss, and use my eco to build defensive unit/research like siege research, melee upgrade, archers for building siege units in feudal age.

Wondering how he was getting 300 gold consistently without having villagers on gold.

Traders generate gold when they go to local market from global market. It is a good way for generating gold when gold mines are running out.
