Great to see this ...COVID-19 shut down opportunity to have our ceremony for JACK STREET at the graveside ...this video does justice in lieu of the get-together.

Excellent video. These are the kind of stories that make history fun and interesting. And show that maybe TikTok idiots aren't as original as they think. 😆

I remember this church so well, that is until I saw how different it looks. I too remember the ivy and how, when you walked inside it all just seemed to peaceful and beautiful. a lot of changes. I started going to church there when I was 6 right after we immigrated from Holland. Father McManus was the priest there then. I got married there but Father was in the hospital so he couldn't marry us. Our three children were all christened there, even my second who was born in Winnipeg. We flew back to have her christened there because the priest in Winnipeg would not baptize her with proxy godparents. We moved back to Montreal and our third child was christened there. They were christened in April of 74 and August of 76 and I absolutely loved the priest who was there then. I think his name was Father Sinel. He was amazing, especially with the children. I remember on Eater Sunday how he stopped the Mass and told the kids to come up to the front. He gave them all chocolate. He would stop the Mas if a child was crying and tell the parents not to worry about it because this was the only way the baby could communicate. H brought people to the church because they would be lined up outside for Mass. He was absolutely the most amazing priest and human being I have ever been lucky enough to meet.

Being responsible for this positive identification of the pilot, Flight Sgt. Dana Nelson, is remarkable and quite an achievement. A name and life have now been placed on the grave marker. The story was written up in the news in Aug 2018... www.stthomastimesjournal.com/news/local-news/24-year-old-pilot-finally-gets-a-headstone

Thankyou for this. My great grandfather was Martin Ready. His wife Catherine died protecting my grandmother who was almost 4 months old. We were told baby Mary was buried for 3 days when they found her alive. My grandmother married Walter Cooper and had 9 children., my dad was I think 3rd youngest. There are many descendents from Miraculous Mary, as she became known.i recall my grandmother telling me she was given the key to the city, I think when she was in her forties as she was the only living survivor of that disaster.i would love to find more articles if any out there about her, and the recovery. Thanks again
