1:24:40 Why is there a clear LOS for the shot into the infantry in the two storey building although the SdKfz fire from behind a 1 storey building?
@assaultgames167Ай бұрын
When there is a difference in elevation of +1 or greater, a LOS can be traced over terrain that would normally block or hinder LOS. For example, a unit on a hill terrain hex, (elevation 1), can trace a LOS over brush (elevation 0). The Sdkfz is based on elevation 0 and the target unit in a level 2 building. So LOS can be traced over the hindering level 1 building inside the LOS.
@malazath2139Ай бұрын
@@assaultgames167 Ok, got it. So it is important everytime you do the dice pool composition to compare elevation levels to see if it cancels dice grated by hindering terrain. I am looking forward to more playthroughs to prepare for the arrival of the game. :)
@assaultgames167Ай бұрын
@@malazath2139 Yes, and we kept this elevation thing easy for players... so we do not add rules for units being in Level 0 only even if they are in a building with more levels

This is a great format and really a joy to watch. A little more balance in the sound mixing would be nice. The difference in volume between the two players makes it really difficult to listen... too loud or too quiet...

Great AAR! Please do make more. The complexity and time of play both hit the sweet spot for me. It is cool how balanced the randomly generated battles are - that is another big plus for this system. Great work.

Really enjoyed this type of video, would gladly watch more as we wait for the game to arrive later this year. When Digging In, are there any disadvantages? I know a Dug In unit gains a Green Defense Die, but do they lose anything offensively as a result? Thanks!
@assaultgames1674 ай бұрын
Offensivly no disatvantage but during the turn when they start digging in they loose the weakest defense die.

Nice AAR report. I really like this , nice example of close combat. I could feel your pain as the Germans were able to utilise their trucks to move quickly to disembark troops to get into buildings and fortify... No utilisation of mortar smoke. A hard one for the USA as the Germans had the advantaged as they held the right flank and centre. Thanks for this and look forwards to more. My only issue is the use of a soft vehicle to hold an objective, I see this as a cheat, if the soft has passenger that's different.
@assaultgames1674 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment. Yes. This unarmored truck feels somehow strange.... but a truck has a driver and a Co driver armed with Submachine gun, pistol and rifle... so in theory they can occupy an obj... my Rifles eliminated them in the first CC attempt without loss so it is not really a cheat... I had no luck with getting suppressed twice of my units. But nevertheless will think about adding a sentence to the rules that trucks are not allowed to cap
