Got this in my recommended 4 years later, and now that Nick Cage can do this they need to update the other characters like Bill, Ash ect to do this too

I could see Bruce Campbell doing more voice lines for Ash, but Bill's actor (L4D one) died, they gave him another for DBD but it'd probably feel very different, they could still find someone that sounds like him though, like they did for Wesker.

The thing is: Survivors have no voicelines because 1, it would make it harder to sneak if they allways say something, and 2, all characters come from different places, and if one of them has the false accent... twitters getting mad

I honestly believe that the Entity had to nerf Bill because he's way more tough than a 65 year old man should be. In the Left 4 Dead canon comics, this man had just had surgery and woke up in a zombie infested hell hole. Even though he had surgery, he got up and beat down every zombie he came across so he could get home. Tl;dr, Bill is so hardened from being in the army and fighting zombies that he's damn near unstoppable. The only way he died was by sacrificing himself.

Fun fact: Bill Overbeck is so canonically powerful, DBD had to nerf him as to make him more of a believable survivor. Had they allowed him to retain his strength and skills from L4D, the roles of killer and survivor would have been completely switched

Someone should definitely make a mod for the game to replace his voice lines in game with the voice lines from L4D. Albeit he still wouldn't talk, but just replace all of his sounds with matching sounds from L4D

Feel like the idea of Bill going insane should be implied in some of these. While that’s not normally his personality I feel like the constant, never ending pain and torture of the entity would cause anybody to crack unless they’re too stupid (like Ash). I also think it’d be nice if every survivor had a voice with lines, but only survivors could hear them cuz you don’t want the killer to know where you are suddenly lmao

Yeah. I'd pay for that if I had to because I know it's different but Pinhead's got voice-lines so it's more satisfying to hook with him. Voice lines just give satisfaction and are cool.

Ash isn’t even that dumb, he’s lost his mind before and can maintain his composure since then, ash is probably the only person in dbd lore who could put up with this. And also he is one of the few who could kill the killers easily if they let him.

He wouldn't be able to put up with this because he's "Experienced" as he still falls for the same obvious slapstick shit the deadites pull on him since the first film. He only makes it out alive because of his sheer luck and the fact that he's so unintelligent in common sense and foresight and hindsight that nothing the demons do (or any of the idiotic killers) could stump him.
