I’m new to Triumphs bike line up’s and highly considering the 2025 660. Coming from Japanese bikes reliability has a strong history. What do you think about the reliability for Triumphs?
@Spartan_6606 күн бұрын
Personally, from doing research and talking to owners, they're fairly reliable. They’ve been making Inline 3 for ages, and it's their bread and butter, I feel like. I think you wouldn’t go wrong getting this bike at all!

How bad are the fumes from the hood exit?

So far not terrible, the only time I’ve noticed them is when I have my driver window open. Other than that not bad at all.

@Spartan_66017 күн бұрын
My guy, this is gear that can safe your life. I’m not riding a Harley or a naked bike. I intent to push limits with my bike and want the best of the best. I want to ensure my body is safe in case I get into a crash. Additionally gear isn’t where you want to cheap out. I have a $300 helmet and a $200 jacket. That do not compare at all to my high end gear. I’m just saying my life is worth more than $2k. I didn’t buy all this at once but over time

@Spartan_66016 күн бұрын
@ lol, my dude please do your research on how what you claim you wear vs what I’m wearing. Regardless leather and impact ece rate protection will out class you boots, jeans, and flannel. I don’t care to have this conversation with someone who clearly doesn’t value their life to wear real gear. Additionally I’m on a sport bike not a Harley or whatever you’re riding.

@Spartan_660 would you recommend this or the zx6r? I am kinda confused because the price difference is just about 2K and the performance is heaven and earth
@Spartan_66025 күн бұрын
Honestly the zx6r is on its class of its own. Inline screaming 4. Plus makes power way different and is faster. It would be a great bike to have long term but just make sure you check your ego. Also please sit on one before buying it to see if it fits you and your body but 10/10 bike
@antrayfx306325 күн бұрын
@@Spartan_660 I have sat on one and trust me that bike is mad aggressive. I am kinda scared 😅 plus Indian roads are not the best for this so I wanted some help on what to decide
@zemarbenitez778724 күн бұрын
@@antrayfx3063 Considering the context, yes, the ZX6R has a notably aggressive seating position. The Daytona 660, based on feedback from riders who have tested various bikes, is often regarded as an excellent option for daily use. While it’s still a sports bike, the ZX6R falls into the "Race Ready" (RR) category, which makes it a much more performance-focused machine. The ZX6R, being an inline-four, is significantly faster than the Daytona 660. It delivers around 120 horsepower, compared to the Daytona’s approximate 89 horsepower. That said, the power delivery and overall ride experience between the two bikes are very different. In my experience, the Daytona 660 provides sufficient power, and I currently don’t feel the need for more.However the ZX6R you will need to be in the higher RPM to get that power. Will not have that get up an go in the lower RPM. However, if you’re not comfortable keeping the bike in higher RPMs or pushing it hard, I’d strongly advise against the ZX6R. It’s a fantastic bike but not ideal for extended rides due to its aggressive ergonomics, which can be physically demanding over time. Always consider the length and type of your rides before committing to a bike like the ZX6R.

I appreciate it, man! It's just hard with the riding season coming to a close. I didn't record a ton this year, so I'm trying to spread it out.
@langhamp8912Ай бұрын
First and most importantly, the full-body suit is the least effective form of protection; it is used when all other forms of safety have failed. Things like traffic safety, ABS/TC, daylight hours, and visibility to others is far more important. My personal opinion, backed up with traffic engineer's research, is that being able to recognize the difference between a street and a road is the single most important thing you can do for safety. You should understand the US has a unique road system (you were riding entirely on one) that puts people on high-speed urban highways (stroads). Almost all fatal wrecks occur on stroads, and you don't really see stroads in other countries because they're deemed too dangerous. I have several 1-piece suits as well as a couple of leather biker jackers; I don't actually ride with the biker jackets as they're just fashion pieces, but built to a high quality. 1-piece textile: Aerostich suits, about $1600 each. These have armor in them, including back protectors. For street riding, I use these almost 100% of the time. I do use these in the early sessions of trackdays because we're not going fast and you can get into and out of them in under ten seconds. 1-piece leathers: you should peruse the sportbiketrackgear site for their in-house leathers. I use the RST leathers (about $500) which are, in my opinion, of high quality. They come with CE1 and CE2 armor. These are for trackdays. They are quite difficult to get into and out of. Coming next year, I intend to buy a Bison custom leather suit with the Helite airbag vest, so that'll be around $2500. In my opinion, there's not much reason to buy a sportbike unless you're planning to eventually do a trackday. It might not be now, and you might do just a few as they are expensive, but trackdays are the only place when and where you can actually enjoy your sportbike. Public roads are slow and dangerous.

I have CE AAA rated mesh jackets and riding jeans all with L2 armor throughout. My Honister even has a back and chest protector. I also have AAA rated gloves with Supertech R boots. I like it because its basically 95% of the protection of a leather suit without looking like a power ranger and its all extremely comfotable. Everything breathes incredibly well and when its cold I just layer up over top of my jacket and im good to go. I can justify the cost of everything because I commute on my bike to DC which is basically home of the worst drivers in the country.
