That sucks! The repair is holding for me. Probably would have been cheaper to just order another swingarm, but I needed my bike. Of course, I had to go and huck off of a rock, bottomed out the rear shock, and cracked the seat tube. Totally my fault and they sent me another front triangle for $300. I run a 29+ setup.

@@lrn15782 had an air shock first and bottomed out all the time, now i'm riding coil, way better for me (clyde). ordered a new chainstay for 140 euro's, came in under 3 weeks,now i'm having the whole thing repainted, in prismatic paint, looks really cool. Still love the bike, its a great piece of kit

The pivot bolt slides in from the other side and into this threaded recessed cap. Despite using blue threadlock, the bolt loosened and the movement of the cap hogged out the carbon walls of the recess. My video shows the cap wiggling in place when torque is applied to the pedal. The only options were to replace the swingarm or resin the cap in place. I chose to have The Frame Doctor, who specializes in carbon repair, resin the cap in place.

@@lrn15782 thanks for sharing. I checked mine last night, my off brand blue thread locker was super tight, BUT, I did open this before because it was squeaking immediately after first use of bike. Found the paint on the bolt was maring up, so I scraped some paint off, applied grease to the shaft (it shouldn’t need any since nothing should be rotating on the bolt and reassembled with blue thread locker. Carefully cleaned the old threadlocker off and degreased the bolt threads and nut. What torque value did you use?

Very much so. For me, the stock seat was unbearable. Don't get me wrong, the Corbin is firm and takes some time to mold to your butt, but it's absolutely worth it. My wife has it on her FJR as well.

Yeah, I wanted the 14s, but these fell into my lap for $80 nearly brand new. Couldn't pass that up.

I have the same system on a 2013 FJR and the cans are actually cool to the touch which is super cool. One thing I notice a lot more is that when I am decelerating I get lots of popping noises that I never noticed with the stock exhaust. If this bothers you then you may want to consider that.

@@michaeldecaires8078 I believe that's due to the PAIR system that injects air into the exhaust. Many people remove it and cap it off.. No more popping.. I'm getting the 18" ones for my 06 Fjr1300.. 😁

I'm not going to lie, they're pretty loud, even with the baffles. Maybe when I'm older I'll go back to quiet ones. 😄

I only paid $60 for them, so I figured what the heck. Longer pipes do look better on the FJR. My wife's bike came with the Two Brothers titanium and they look and sound amazing. I'm not about to spend $1k for them, though.

There is quite a drone to them. If you don't wear earplugs, you'll go deaf. I ended up installing the baffles to cut the edge. They're still loud, just not ear splitting. I also gained some torque back that I lost with the unbaffled pipes. I'm loving them for now, although everyone thinks you want to race them. Haha

Yup... a major drone. I bought them already installed on the bike and I think the prev owner took the baffles out. For now I put my stock pipes back on and they sound just fine for me.

Jens Jacobs I wanted to, but the boardwalk was damp from rain, and even with my grippy tires and brakes, I would probably have slid straight into the fence at the bottom. lol

@@niffumau lol. This wasn't supposed to be public. I made the clip to post on our FJR forum, showing the slight hesitation at idle.

@@lrn15782 Mine from 2011 also wavers minimally. Everything has been checked and it still waves slightly. I think this type is. This is slightly annoying especially for a perfectionist.
