But by this logic, no Muslim would respect Muhammad for marrying a 6yr old Aisha and conssumating the marriage when she was 9yr old If there is a Muslim man who wud be fine with this, pls speak up 🙂
@CompleteTranquility2 ай бұрын
I understand your confusion with marrying a 6 year old and I can explain this misconception to you but think it's best if you learn from someone more knowledgeable than me. In short, what we do is something called presentism. This is when we use today's morals to judge the past which is illogical. For example, our age of consent for marriage is 18. If a couple got married and then the age of consent for marriage is 21, we wouldn't call the two weirdos or anything. Secondly, back in those days, women would mature a lot quicker and would make their own decisions, not like the children of our generation. On top of that, if we look at the ages of consent now, many different countries have different ages of marriage and that is completely fine. There are many more reasons as well but you can do the research if you'd like. Hope this helps 😄
@djiniiiii2 ай бұрын
@@CompleteTranquility What?!? 😮 Are you telling me there was an abundance of instances of middle aged men marrying 6 yr olds in THOSE days and conssumating those relationships? If yes, do you have any data or references to prove that? Secondly, there are certain principles that are UNIVERSAL. For example, acts like pre-meditated Murder, Rape, Arson, Burglary, etc are all UNIVERSALLY accepted to be wrong, irrespective of the time they were/are carried out in. If by your logic it was okay to do what Muhammad did then, how and why is it not okay to do it now (it = Pedophilia in the PRESENT)? Finally, the concept of Sunnah is an established practice in Islam. That is, it is considered pious to follow on the lines of Muhammad vis-a-vis his actions and deeds. Then why is the established principle of Sunnah not applicable to marrying and conssumating relationships with under 10 yr olds in the PRESENT? What happens to the whole narrative of Quran and Hadeeth (Muhammad's life and teachings) being UNIVERSAL and TIMELESS. PS: I am an ex-Muslim and have done my research to arrive at the conclusion that Islam (and all religions) is a MAN made concept with patriarchy and bigotry in its core
@CompleteTranquility2 ай бұрын
I understand what you are saying. 1) Yes there are many cases in which men married younger women across all of human history. It was very common. When the Prophet SAW married Aisha, nobody criticised him for it, even his arch enemies. This shows that it was completely normal at the time and a cultural norm that we don't have anymore. Therefore we can't judge what they did because that would be presentism again which wouldn't make sense. Also if you look at the major countries like the UK and the USA only 200 years ago, the age of consent was 9 to around 13. 100 years ago it was 16. Only recently was it changed to 18. 2+3) The Quran is timeless and universal. Not the Sunnah. For example, the usage of wells. Nowadays we get water from taps so the Sunnah regarding wells are done anymore. Another example, horse riding, it is a sunnah but we can't do it because it is associated with gambling. By this logic, we can see that not all Sunnah can be followed in this day and age. Also, we have to look where we live. For example living in the UK. It is a ruling that a person must abide by the laws made by the land he resides in. Therefore they can only marry when they are over 18. In addition to this, the prophet SAW got married to Aisha when she was Physically, mentally and emotionally ready, mature, able to give consent and make decisions and with the approval of her parents. Furthermore, nowadays, because we don't have to survive like they did in the past, we mature much later but back then, people would become capable and mature a lot earlier and this is due to lifestyle and time period. Hope this help. God bless you 😄 I am not a scholar so if you are actually interested and have an open heart, please consult someone with more knowledge.

No fornication until I pay your father 10 camels 😂😂😂
@CompleteTranquility2 ай бұрын
You may be confused. You don't pay the father. The wife can ask from the husband whatever she wishes. There's wisdom behind this. I'll just name one but there are so many. This is called Mahr and this is when the man gives the woman whatever she wants. This is because back in the day, women wouldn't work so they have no financial income. So by giving Mahr, if anything may happen she can live her life as well as do whatever she wants with her money. The man can't take anything back or ask her for money. Mahr also shows that the man is actually interested and not just messing with her. Hope this helps 😄

@@CompleteTranquility Sorry for long reply but let me explain. Child marriages were common in lot of cultures back in the days but the marriage was always consummated only after the girl started menstruating. But mohammed marred her when she was 6 and had sex with her when she was 9. No matter what culture it seems absolutely out of place. And even back in the days when child marriages were common the young children would be wed to other young boys and not to some 53 year old man. And certainly not someone who claims to be talking to god everyday thru an angel gabriel. And what is different here is that even if we assume he may have done this according to the customs of the times he lived in he has indoctrinated his behaviour into the theology of Islam itself thereby permanently sealing it as something that has divine appproval. Meanhing allah is fine with this for eternity. With modernity these things are reformed and changed as you say due to "presentism" but what is different about muslims however modern they maybe is that they will never admit that this is wrong that its "old barbaric" custom because since mohammed has done it they will not criticize it and will justify it or even try to explain it scientifically somehow. THat is the difference. All of mohammed savagery and bizarre fetishes and abnormal behaviour is codified into the theology of islam. The consequence is that even modern muslim who go by the book and are fundamental and religous in fact think of such things as totally normal and a measure of living "by islam" as "allah's way". THat is why marrying 4 women, covering women, marrying children and so many medieval customs are continued and never rejected. They only do it if they are somehow forced to while living in a non-muslim society but Mohammed is never found to be at wrong. This comment has become too long so I will reply to your jewish question down below...

@@CompleteTranquility As far as jewish thing its really a total tragedy how mohammed eliminated the 3 prosperous jewish tribes of Banu Qunakkah, Banu Nadir and Banu Qurayza. Banu qurayza and nadir got the worst treatment. Really sad because Yathrib (later called medina was built by jewish tribes). He systematically schemed and managed to drive them out or kill all the male members and take their women and enslaved them as war booty. Of these the story of jewish woman safiya bint huyayy is the saddest. She was originally from Banu Nadir but after being attacked and chased out of their settlement over a stone throwing incident that mohammed used to his advantage they moved to the fertile oasis of khaybar. Safiya was fmous for being one of the most beautiful woman so later when mohammed attacked khabar after the banu qurayza incident he torturned and killed her new husband kinanan when he refused to disclose all the location of their wealth. Khaybbar was a high standard of living settlement but they were farmers in a fertile land. Mohammed just took their booty and killed him and his entire family. All male members were killed and safiya bint huyayy was put in the lot of women who were to be distributed as war booty fo mohammed's army. One of his soldiers Dihya Al kabi was promised to take any woman he liked. He knew about safiya's beauty from medina so went and picked her first and took her back to his tent as sex slave. The other soldiers got so jealous that they went to mohammed and told him about the famous beauty of safiya. Mohammed then sent Bilal to go get safiya to himself. Dihya Al kabi refused to return safiya and said she belonged to him. Bilal then snatched safiya and her sister in law back to to mohammed's tent. On the way both women saw the dead bodies of their husbands and his brothers and entire family killed and mutilated. Kinnah especially was tortured brutally with fire on his chest and later decapitated. Now imagine what must be going thru the mind of such women.. but mohammed saw safiya and wanted her. Diyha came and protested to mohammed and wanted safiya.. after negotiation mohammed gave him 2 young teengage cousins of safiya as compensation. There are other hadiths that say that this number was 7 slaves in exchange for safiya. Finally mohammed announced that he got word from allah that he is suppposed to marry this jewish woman safiya bint huayayy. How convenient.. sex slaves, beautiful women all fair game.. She ended up marrying and forcibly converted.. Of the 13 wives she is considered one of the "mothers of Islam". How savage.. after killing her entire tribe and family he marries her.. Such is the evil of mohammed. He married 13 times .. lechery debauchary and lust.. weirdo and psychopath to the core. He had one wife till 40 but somehow when he got more and more power he just took as many wives as he wants. Even nnow rich sheikhs in middle east have so many wives and 40-50 children all mimicking this behaviour of mohammed as role model.. Yuck. and the story of banu qurayza is something else.. horribble horrible the original ISIS template for killing. Mohammed is the root of all this muslim violent temperament and being apologetic for such vile human behaviour.

@@CompleteTranquility The jewish wife is Safiya bint Huyayy. Research her and how she was acquired.
@CompleteTranquility2 ай бұрын
I understand what you are saying. But back in those days, men used to marry younger women but in Islam it was different. For a man to marry the girl, they have to be completely ready, mentally, physically emotionally, mature, have the ability to make decisions and the approval of the parents. We have to understand that times were different back then and we can't judge based on what we think right now and the standards right now. Also the thing about covering and having 4 wives all have wisdom behind it. Covering is an order from God and if you look into why women have to do it, it makes complete sense (I will not say the reasons here because it will take too long). The thing about 4 wives is only if you have the means and you can provide for them equally without any of them feeling left out of unappreciated. It's very uncommon these days because it's hard but even in that there is wisdom like there not being enough men etc. Please do research into this and try to learn with an open heart. I am not a scholar or anything so please try to consult someone more knowledgeable than me. You will find the answers to your confusions 100% but only if you actually research. Have a nice day! 😄
