Lots of shifts during a gap year, maybe was lucky enough to go 50/50 with parents. Any number of ways, if you put your mind to it I'm sure you could pick up a nice bike for yourself soon enough!

you could try turning on rtx and dlss quality. If that doesn't look nice, try upscaling to a higher res in the nvidia control panel and try to set everything else in there to quality.

I have a similar setup and tried several updates of acc, fiddled around alot w the settings , to get to a comfortable experience , but each time I keep uninstalling it as I can't get it to come close to the VR experience I get in AC(with Csp) or Automobiliste. Would be great if you could make some screenshots of your setup in-game and oculus and steam-vr settings and upload them somewhere. I think many like me must have this... Does experience match that of AC or AMS2 for you?

I use the settings as in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/mX3LfIepadGgeMk . He has some great vr simracing povs.

With a Type C cable that comes with the headset.

@@ap3x212 Yes, in fact my amazon one has a higher transfer speed than the actual link cable. Just make sure to check the reviews on the aftermarket cable you're buying.

Hi! Vr is absolutely worth it and I personally cannot go back to screens anymore. I reckon sim racing is going to be played in Vr only in the near future. You could get the Quest 2 now or wait for the upcoming new gen of Vr headsets with higher resolution and OLED panels.

The rain mod or FidelityFX?

I use Quality mode which is the best for 1440p and settle between high and very high sharpening depending on how big the grid is and how taxing the mods are.

Hi townnet, the quality looks just as good through the lens since I increased pixel density and supersampling. The fps drops to 40 fps in some parts of the track that are not well optimised or when a lot of ai cars are in view but otherwise it runs at around 80 fps. I could make it less choppy by enabling steamvr's motion smoothing. It's a lot smoother in the headset than it is in the video.

@@r6staller No shimmering at all? Are Quest 2 run smooth than reverb g2? I check the spec of quest 2 resolution is low than G2. I heard they say quest 2 image are compress so is a bit blur, do you able to read motec display text? Is very impressive see you run the game in rain condition, is choppy a bit but it looks good. Don't know how it perform when run at storm + night?

@@townnet There was no noticeable shimmering after I tuned the settings. Quest 2 recently got a 120 Hz which is very smooth but it's almost impossible to run ACC at 120 fps without compromising the graphics because it's very taxing on the hardware. G2 does have higher pixels per eye count which also means it needs a lot more processing power. Quest 2 resolution can be cranked up to 5408x2736 from the Oculus software which does produce a crystal clear image. It's harder to read motec on the gtr compared to other cars. Apparently, it runs better in rain compared to a sunny track since minimal shadows and lighting.
