Fortunately the owl eats mostly at night, and hopefully was not hungry in the middle of the day

Amazing raptor! I've never seen eagle owl in nature. This is a very rear owl in Poland. Two years ago I witnessed an Ural owl trying to hunt a squirrel. Regards

Wow!! That's so epic!!! How did you keep your camera steady?
@MichaelGehrisch10 ай бұрын
The camera was on a travel tripod, with the legs held firmly between the seat and the bulkhead, so kept relatively steady, but if you look at indiidual frames you see quite a bit of vibration from turbulence, but works ok as a video,

I love it here in Europe, down here in Berlin it also doesn't fully get dark in Summer, though here it's only if you look in the direction where the sun currently is under the horizon..

Sir can you answer my questions if you don't mind. Can I see the milky way with my bare eyes same as in the video? Because on of my dream to witness it, not for a photography reasons. Can i see the milky way in the same place as in the video any time through the year? Is a clear and moonless night the only thing important to witness this magnificent view? And is it possible to drive by a car to this place without any problem? Like do I need kind of permission or something? Hope you respond, thanks for your wonderfully pictures.
@MichaelGehrisch Жыл бұрын
Ales Stenar is open to the public year round, but in Sweden you are not able to see the stars between May and August because of the midnight sun. So although Ales Stenar is a good place to see the Milky Way if you live nearby, the best time to see it is Aug- Nov and Mar-May. In the middle of winter the core of the milky way is below the horizon at night. In other words there are probably better locations than this, where you can see the Milky Way during warmer months, on a moonless night. The Milky Way is not this bright to the naked eye, these images are taken with 15-30 second exposures, gathering far more light than you can see in real time. If you find a dark location (away from city lights) on a clear moonless night and you let your eyes adjust to the darkness you will see the Milky Way as a faint band with billions of stars across the night sky.

good guitar. Which strings did you use? normal ones or a carbon ones?
@MichaelGehrisch Жыл бұрын
Normal Savarez 520R. I have tried many different strings, and the Savarez are still one of my favorites.

@@MichaelGehrisch thanks for the answer. What do you think about the guitar? Does it have good sustain in higher frets? (After 12. fret) And is the sound „thick“ (kind of powerful and full volumen)? BR

Someone needs to make sure those microphone stands can slide out of the way easily, the amount of times I've seen Tommy go to push them aside with his foot and they won't budge ... tsk tsk, stage manager 🙄 not that it phases him at all. Magic 💜
