how does this video have like no views? Great run dude. The Framedrops were horrible but nothing to change about that in the VOD :D Thanks to you I bought Trials of mana for PC in the Summer Sale and Collection of mana on the switch. Can't wait to play this gem again and Secret of Mana aswell :)

The lack of views is because there are much better runs that exist of this game. And yeah the dropped frames were bad but thankfully there exists a local recording of this run. Glad to hear I motivated you to buy trials of mana tho. Enjoy it! It's a fun game! 👍

Fantastic run! I played this through dozens and dozens of times as a kid, so I could do some bits pretty quick, but I had no idea that some of this stuff was even possible, like beating the fish boss or the airplane admiral robot boss in one loop! Particularly impressed by the routing used to lose as much health as possible without losing time in order to save on the results screen.

This game is tougher than Cuphead and Bloodborne. It's impossible for me to finish it on good ending. :(

Can you explain me how it works that when you get hit you don't lose your Pow? i don't get it i thought it was just 1 hit

Normally that is the case but some enemies are exceptions to this rule and body contact doesn't do damage. Basically it's only hits that do actual damage to your health that makes you lose the POW. The body boost at the end of stage 2 is off a ninja which has no active hurtbox on the body (only the ninja stars they throw has that). Another example is the nuns/female ninjas at the end of stage 5. This one is harder to explain but I believe if you have to be close enough to the middle of her body when doing the body boost. Too far left you get boosted the wrong way and if you're too far right, you actually do get hit and lose POW. It's all about understanding each of the enemies and what you can get away with without taking what the game counts as damage to your health. Bosses will hurt you no matter how they hit you.

@@5hadax Somewhere I saw it and I was sure but actually I tried by myself and Its false. I killed all that cannons and the music changes to less stressful one but the mission is not completed until I leave that orange thing alive... I played on emulator and I was wrong. Sorry about that. Anyway you doing a great job a put a lot of effort on this gameplays!

It's January 14th, 2024 and as with everybody else, I played this as a kid. Rented it multiple times from the video store and never beat it let alone understand it. Flash forward 20+ years, I am glad to see it being beaten and further impressed with players having a passion for it to be speed run. A very strange game indeed. No points, no lives, just a puzzle that a 10-12 year old me couldn't understand or figure out at that time.

I loved this game !! took me hours to beat as a kid, I was amazed how you fight all these different bosses, it was ridicolously amazing lol, Spider-man, Man-bat, Daredevil, Shredder, Mother brain, Godzilla, Hulk, terminator, Jiraiya from Naruto, I miss the 90s

No. If you listen closely at the very start of the video you'll hear a distinct buzzing noise. That buzzing noise does not happen with emulators.

I played this game at my Uncle Chuck's when I was 6 years old me and my brother used to get past the first level and nothing further I've been looking for this game for years had no idea what it was called. Finally found it tonight and found there is a speed run of it this is amazing thank you for making this video. Takes me all the way back.

Thank you for posting these strategy tips. Still haven't accomplished a quick kill on the first stage of the final boss, but I'm satisfied having finally beat the game.
