I can understand your feeling. I try to see the other point of wild animals like these chimpanzees. As long as the zoos have very nice environments for the animals, they are actually in safe places. Some of the wild animals are nearing extinction.

I agree with you however their apes not monkeys. Monkeys have tails & apes don't! Just letting you know but I love all apes (Chimpanzee's, Gorilla's, Orangutan's, Bonobo's,) Even the Siamang lesser ape even though they are annoying but it's more fascinating when they do it!
@donnaadams52173 жыл бұрын
@@DarkOfTheeUnknown yeah I do know just a simple mistake as was watching monkeys before it.
@sped69543 жыл бұрын
@@DarkOfTheeUnknown Mostly true, but you can't go by tail/tailless to distinguish between monkey/ape. While it's true that ALL apes are tailless without exception, there are several types of monkeys that are for the most part tailless, which doesn't make them apes. Two tailless monkeys that come to mind immediately are the Celebes Macaque, also known colliquially as the Celebes Ape by people that just assume that since it doesn't have a tail, then it must be an ape; which it isn't. The second is the Barbary Macaque, also referred to as the Barbary Ape for the exact reason indicated above. Both of these examples are Macaque, which are monkeys, not apes.

Why do people get involved when the mom obviously didn't want to be bothered? She wasn't in distress, seems they were impatient. Not hating, just wondering.
@bpalmento34686 жыл бұрын
I have watched the Freelands Gypsy horses for a good number of years. The people who take care of the horses care very much for them. It is not being impatient. They just want to be sure the baby gets the best care.

I went to the zoo in spring of 2013, I loved watching the chimps and spent most of my time there. They are so clever and will sometimes interact with the humans (though when i was there they ignored me, then some kids on a fieldtrip came in and they started interacting :D). I never let it out of my mind that they are also vicious.

Tortilla Soup with Chorizo and Turkey Meatballs • 2 tsp. olive oil • 1 c. chopped onion • ¾ c. chopped seeded poblano pepper; I can’t find those so I went for what was there pasilla pepper. • 1 oz. dried smoked Spanish chorizo, finely chopped - I can’t find one so I used Ole Mexico Chorizo sausages from Ingles. I used one link. I do notice you can order dried sausages from the Amazon. • 4 c. unsalted or low sodium chicken stock (couldn’t find one so I used low sodium) • 1 can (14.5 oz.) unsalted diced tomatoes, drained • 2 corn tortillas, chopped (I didn’t like just 2 tortillas; so I add one more making 3) • ½ tsp. kosher salt, divided (do use kosher salt; I noticed the difference) • ½ tsp. garlic powder • ½ tsp. ground cumin - I used cayenne with the second batch. I like it a lot. My cumin was old and decided to use cayenne instead. (1/4 tsp!! unless you want more heat ha ha) • ½ tsp. ground coriander • 12 oz. ground turkey • 1 large egg • Cooking spray • ¾ c. frozen corn kernels • ¼ c. chopped fresh cilantro (I don’t use it) 1. Heat a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add oil; swirl to coat. Add onion, poblano, and chorizo; sauté 2 minutes. Add stock and tomatoes; bring to a simmer. Stir in tortillas. 2. Combine and blend well: ¼ tsp. kosher salt, garlic powder, and next 4 ingredients (through egg). Wet your hands and then shape turkey mixture into 12 meatballs. Heat a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Coat pan with cooking spray. Add meatballs; cook 4 minutes, browning on all sides. Add meatballs, remaining ¼ tsp. salt, and corn to stock mixture and simmer 5 minutes. Top with cilantro. (I don’t use it) Tip: Wet your hands when you make meatballs. So much easier!
