@@Boogie.702 Haha me too. Bought the z50 few months ago (my first camera) and cannot buy the z50ii right away, so I've been regretting a bit but thankfully z50's features and AF aren't frustrating to work with which many people point out. They say it's subpar and Average but z50 & z6ii's AF seems quite fast & mostly reliable to Me. The z50ii got that expeed 7 so naturally it's an upgrade and a good one at that.

This video confused me a little and I'm probably gonna get some heat. But......this video has nothing to do with or touches on night photography and falls more in line with just selecting your aperture to control your DOF. You touched on that with the first helmet images and how much of it was in focus then later on with the buildings in the background. I'd say that aperture primarily impacts two...or three... major things in an image: DOF, blur/bokeh, and how much light can pass through the lens. When it comes to night photography, how much light gets through is what most people will be concerned with. Trying to get a clean shot on a moving subject that requires a little bit faster shutter speed and you don't want too much noise with a high ISO.... open the aperture up. Want some light trails with a long exposure and a low ISO, stop down the aperture to get the right exposure. You *kind of* touched on this with your one of your later helmet images, but not really. In general, manipulating aperture to get blur/bokeh in your background is general to photography for day or night shots. Those rules still apply at night, but at that point you just adjust your shutter and ISO to get the desired effect. I think this video does give good examples on how aperture impacts your images though with your examples, +/- other things that impact bokeh like your focal length and distance to the subject. No hate, just found the vid a little confusing.

@@slickslabmcknabful no heat I completely understand where your coming from, there is definitely a lot more that goes into Aperture and how it affects your photos but I just wanted to keep this video very simple

It's pretty much the same thing. Both will show the same image; +/- the differences between screen quality/brightness. For optical view finders, it can be tricky once it gets really dark.
