Luckily, there were no huntsman spiders in that tunnel cave - if that jumped on me, I would have shxt myself.

Thanks for the great video! I hope to do this track one day myself. Just one thing though I wouldn't advertise visiting Aboriginal sites. Before you know it they'll have the whole place closed down. We all know what happened to climbing Ayres Rock and I fear access to the CSR will one day sadly suffer the same fate.

Hi Tony, Thank you so much for your seminar & explanation on the new 200 air box. It's great to hear you were able to convince the bean counters into the development of something to help us out here on the front line in 'wally world'. I would love a 200 but like heaps of other tradies, I cannot afford one, but most of us irrespective of what we drive, we all have a snorkel. At present, I own a 2014 Landcruiser 79 single cab 4.5 v8 turbo diesel with a standard airbox, I am trying to do my best to make her last as long as I can without this dusting issue destroying the engine. I was going to fit one of your pre-filters: the H000858 plastic bowl cyclonic or perhaps if the head of domestic affairs & FINANCES agrees the H002853/ H002394 top-spin type. Are these my best options as they vary from 300-450 cfm or do you have any better recommendations?. I hear what you are saying that they do not work over 30 km ph & need clearing before highway speeds & are not really required on road at speeds & I can absolutely understand your explanation of why & agree with you, but A quick couple of questions about the cyclone/ top spin self cleaning versions if I may. 1/ Is the 30 km ph irrespective of any head/side wind travelling, or is it just a 30 km ph wind across the filter base, even if the vehicle is standing still, or say doing 20 km ph with a 10 km ph head wind 2/ if they stop working/spinning over 30 km ph do they then actually restrict any airflow 3/ I know people run the 858 on snorkels ok, but do you think possibly the weight of H002394 might be a little heavy on the safari over corrugations I realise these 3 options are not a 100% cure but if you think they are at least a better option overall, rather than just a ram-head with the standard filter & especially below 30 km ph off-road, & in the interests of self preservation & having to put up with all the domestic strife & possible physical damage to me............. & the ute :0{ I would be happy to go with that for now. We all know this is really Toyota's fault & after shelling out big dollars for the ute, it's kind of one in the plums for us to have to fix it properly. We are all caught a bit between a rock & a hard place at the moment & $1500 of hard earnt, is a bit hard to come by, just for an air filter box + spare, or in the words of she who must be obeyed, ....WHAT!!!! HOW MUCH for a plastic box to stop a bit of dust!! , so it is near impossible to convince the HEAD OF FINANCES it is actually an investment in prevention & not a 'silly boy toy'. I know in the boy world $1500 is a hell of alot better than a $15-20,000 hit for a rebuild or a new lump, but it's still a big hit & hard to convince the girl-world it's a good idea :0(. Thanks once again for telling us straight up answers, & I would really appreciate any help or factual advice you can give me to help persuade the non-thinking ballast, it's a good idea to have at least maybe something on top of the periscope. Take care, stay safe, Kindest regards Nick :0)

Really makes me want to go back with the family. A few years ago we camped in Talbotville, drove the Crooked River both ways and visited Wonnangatta via Cynthia and various other tracks I've since forgotten. Next time give us a bell and we'll bring along our Nissan LRV (Landy Recovery Vehicle)... ;-) Thanks for the enjoyable video and keep them coming! Cheers from Sydney - Dave PS. While we were there I read "The Wonnangatta Mystery: An Inquiry Into the Unsolved Murders" - a great little book which really added some dimension to the experience. Recommended!
