Good ensemble! At first I thought the conductor was doing too much and messing up time. But, hat was my internet being bad. Good conductor who knows the piece well. This was one of my favorites from college.

Well he premiered it when it came out, in front of Nicholas D. Falone the composer, who then gave him tips on how it was intended to be played.

Considering that Dr. Bowman quite literally premiered this piece FOR Nicholas Falcone at the university of Michigan, I think he has more authority than anyone (especially you) on tempos and style. given that it is unaccompanied, tempo is relative and completely up to the player to engage the audience as best they can.
