I got a SE Silver Sky recently. Really impressed! I didn’t think I would like the feel of the guitar as much as I do. The 8.5 radius I thought was going to be round for me.

Is this a parody? That's extremely sloppy playing for someone "teaching" shred. You may be a great player, but shred is definitely not your thing. (Hoping this is a parody)

What kind of pedal are you using for that tone besides the guitar itself? It sounds great

Wow nice! How much does the picking hand matter here? Your hand seems to fly but it stays almost "slow" what's the secret there?

Beautiful guitar, how you done a review on your se silver sky as well ? I’m currently playing a 2011 American standard Strat. And I’m looking for a warmer sounding Strat , there are times when it sounds a brighter than I prefer. I keep kicking around the possibility of selling my fender, picking up an se .

At minute 5´50 there´s mud in the distortion-sound, there is almost no string separation to be heard! So $2700 for this guitar, I'd rather play my BLADE Texas Classic!

1st time tuning in. Yes, I appreciate your conceptual approach to teaching. I'm very analytical and always want to know why these things work and how I can apply them. I think it re enforces our knowledge of theory. Subscribed!

Should I Start slow and use a metronome? I know Precision and clarity of the notes is most important. Thanks .... Great video. 😎

Yes sir! Not only does a metronome tighten your rhythm but it also synchronizes you r.h. and l.h. Thanks for following the channel!

I've been "playing" the guitar for 15 years and I was stuck in the campfire guitarist mode for all of it(meaning I can play chords and basic rythm guitar for singing along). I had some free time lately and I dove into actually understanding the guitar, the pentatonic scale, solos and other stuff ... What keeps me engaged is recognizing when I learned something new or understanding somethign that was a foreign concept to me just a few weeks ago. Makes practice so easy.

Hi Greg, first, nice man-cave! :) Second, how easy is it to record with the Ax8? Can you use the USB cable to go directly from the Ax8 to a PC, or do you need some sort of interface in between? I've been using a POD HD500 for six years and thinking about upgrading to this.
@gregjgman

No more difficult than recording with any other modeler as long as you have an audio interface. I have been using the SPDIF out lately....
