Know the history of Rakhine kingdom and Turning points of Rakhine land boundary. The land border between Bengal sultanate and Mrauk U ( Arakan) was Hugli river in 1533- 1630. The land border between Chin hill and Rakhine kingdom was Min Dat ( Thoung Dat) which was a buffer zone in 13th century to 18th century ( till 1784). The land border between Rakhine kingdom and Pegu Mon kingdom was Tharawaddy district in 1400,1784 The land border between Moghal empire of India and Mrauk U ( Arakan )kingdom was Bhulana town what is today Nsukhali District of present bangldesh in 1630-1666. Main Turing points of Rakhine kingdom, 1) Moghal empire ( Uzbek) under Aurangzeb and bengal governor and General Shai sta khan ( 1600-1694) and mughul army and Navy and Portuguese warships in Hugli river invaded and annexed half territory of Mrauk U ( Arakan) kingdom in Mughal- Mrauk U wars in 1665-1666. Mughal army and Navy LED by general Shai sta khan and Portuguese warships fought with Mrauk U ( Arakan).forces and annexed Bharishaw ,Comilla, Dacca areas,and Sandwip Island in 1665 . And again They fought with Mrauk U army and Navy at Chittagong seaport town,Daiga Fort.Falong Chit Town,Cox Bazaar town,Pan Waar Town, Rwa Ma ( Ramu) town and Cayu Chaung ( river of oysters ) what is today Teknef district of present bangldesh boundary And Myit wa village from Mrauk kingdom under the King Chanda Thuddhama Raza in 1666. And then The bengal governor cum general Shai Sta khan changed Rakhine name Chittagong into Islamabad city and mughal empire ruled Chittagong coastal regions along with bengal region for 95 years ( 1665 to 1760). And then, The East India company ( English) Army tried to capture Chittagong coastal regions from Muslim moghul empire in 1678,1689 but failed both times and fled from Chittagong coastal regions to south Indian regions. and again, The army and Navy Iof East India company ( EIC) captured important commercial Chittagong Town and near by previous Rakhine towns from mughal empire in 1760 and reinstated Chittagong name from Islamabad name in 1760 and ruled Chittagong coastal regions for 187 years ( 1760 to 1947. Later, The British Govt,General commissioner,Lord Mountbatten and ex- 2 English governors put Chittagong coastal regions and Chittagong hill under Muslim Bengali settlers of East bengal in August,1947. Thus, The rest is the history now. 2) Chittagong hill and Tripura After losing Chittagong important Chittagong coastal regions to mughal empire, There were several internal unrests and power struggling with each royal family to another rival families and ministers,dukes at palace of Mrauk U kingdom in 1665-1782 . The weak Mrauk U kings lost control over the Chittagong hill and Tripura in 1730. So, Chittagong hill and Tripura separated from Mrauk U kingdom in 1732. 3) third turning points of Rakhine kingdom. The Burmese kingdom under the King Maung Wai ( 1745 born and Died in 1819) invaded and occupied Mrauk U ( Arakan) kingdom under the last King Tha Doe Aung with Traitors by Min bya duke ,Nga Than Dwe and Minister ,San Ra Fwe and others in 1784-1785. Thus, The Victorian Burmese armed forces and authority of Burmese kingdom committed massacres Mass displacements,mass deportation of Mrauk U residents from Mrauk U kingdom ( about 30,000 sq ml) to central Burma regions as prisoners of War and burned whole Mrauk U city Mrauk U palace 48 Libraries,3000 to 3500 monastries roman catholic churches mosques,hundreds thousands of houses and buildings and temples and towns and villages to ashes across the kingdom in 1784-1824. 4) fourth turning points of Rakhine boundary and Rakhine communities. The British army and East India company took control of the ex - Mrauk U territories from Burmese kingdom after signing the land boundary treaty ( yandabo ) along with TaninThary Assam and Manipur on February 24,1826 The Land boundary of ARAKAN might be about 20,000 sq ml in 1826-1852. According to 1901census,1911,1921,1930, The land boundary of Arakan division was 18 540 sq ml ( 48018 km ) with 4 districts in 1901- 1930. # According to the 1931 burma census, The land area of Arakan division was 16,001 sq ml ( 4142. ,44 km ) in 1931-1941-1947. According to Burmese authority and Myanmar, The land area of Rakhine ( Arakan) state reduced from previous 18,540 sq ml and 16,001 sq ml to 14,201 sq ml ( 36,777 Km) in 1974-2024. That was how .
