Re: my 2013 3.5L Ford Edge; Im using Ford parts to avoid doing this again soon. My original alternator lasted +300K kilometres. I installed a new Ford alternator. Also while I had this tore down, replaced tensioner and serpentine belt with Ford OEM parts. Not much point in having the tensioner (it was also original) fail in a couple months.

Great video. So i have a question. I currently live out of the country and I own a 2006 honda pilot. I just saw that the heater valve is leaking coolant but where i live is very hard to get the part. Is there a way to bypass the valve in the meantime?

Brother u need to show how to identify the starter from d alternator cause any of the two could cause the car not to start eventhough the starter makes noise. Next, you need to disconnect the negative battery pole you then need to let the people know the size of the socket and to sisconnect the sensor. You r a bad instructor.

Brother, It's not necessary to remove the knuckle and brake assembly. Too much work. There are pivot points on the lower control arm. After removing the lower strut bolt, spray some PB Blaster at the top of the strut cylinder and pound down on the knuckle. The strut will come out with just a little tugging and pushing. To get it back in, install top bolts. Place the strut up against the knuckle strut cylinder, push down on the wheel and use your shoulder to bump the bottom of the strut over the top of the knuckle. (timing) Then just use a dead blow hammer ONLY to get it back in place. (steel hammer could damage the shock) Don't forget to use just a little grease in the cylinder where the strut will fit. Then place a block under the disk(be mindful of the grease fitting below) and lower it down to seat that strut all the way into place. If you have a lift you can place a stand under the control arm. You need to get that sway bar back in place before you lower the wheel onto the block to get that strut in the cylinder. Tighten lower strut bolt. Also make sure the speed sensor cable is on the outside of the strut before placing the strut in the cylinder. Tighten the 3 bolts at the top with respect to the marks you made around the bolts before removal. I remove the cowling and wiper arms in order to totally expose that 3rd bolt. Simply removing that rubber seal doesn't do much in getting it back in and not losing the bolt.

4 screws and you can pop the whole rail out with a small pry bar or 2. The lock mechanism on the plug is a bit different on the 2009 town and country and can be difficult to unlock and remove. You can release the tabs on the bottom with a pick after removing the whole rail and flipping it over. You do not want to break them. There is a quick video on how to do if you look. And for a few dollars you can get a o-ring replacement kit and replace all of the o-rings.
