Great review ! BTW an easy fix on port labeling - it's an old modelers trick. A white "wash" of paint will do the trick as its thin enough to get into the place where it needs to go and easy to otherwise wipe of the service above. Done! I don't yet own one, but I'd that in a heart beat.

Is there any way to keep audio playing from a video even if it's not in the program window?

We made a video that I think will answer this question. If it misses the mark, we're happy to take another stab at it. LINK: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZjZdYOImMSCbck

I am here BECAUSE of the clipping issues I've had with the ATEM. It's frustrating to see good levels and then when in post everything is clipped.

one of the Amazon product page video reviewers mentioned that his Duet locked up (rare, random, couldn't reproduce; maybe heat related) - have you experienced that at all? He also mentioned it was a beta firmware though, so maybe more recent firmwares are more stable.

Nice, well laid out and easy to follow, very appreciatived. One other little comment, the costs. The osee punches way above its class purely from a cost perspective. Osee gostream deck 295, the atem mini pro 450 and the iso 700+

TExt+ does not support outline. Outline should be a standard option yet only regular text supports it. Davinci is annoying
@JJKoesterАй бұрын
I'll go you one better. Blackmagic Design is annoying exactly like that. Everything they release has at least one weird rule like that. I just found out that the 6K Cinema Camera doesn't output to 16:9 via HDMI. The setting just doesn't exist.

This isn’t the right way to do this. Reasonably: slight variation in exposure in the raw clip will make the copied one look funny

I have tried following this, and it says that the import of the LUT failed and that I should check thee file, whatever that means. I have no clue as to why it isn't working.
@JJKoesterАй бұрын
Make sure that you're generating a 33-point cube instead of a 65-point cube. That's the most likely reason your cube isn't loading.
@alltheframes9015Ай бұрын
@@JJKoester Hey there, I found out what was happening. It turns out that how I exported the LUT was not the problem at all (I exported it generating a 33-point cube), but it was the way that the file was named. Apparently you can't name it with the letter "ä" or with the letter "ñ", basically anything outside the standard English alphabet.
@JJKoesterАй бұрын
@@alltheframes9015 Good to know! I hadn’t even thought to test non-standard english characters. Thank you for the information!

I've had trouble getting my ATEMs to show that they need update (when I know they do). My guess is the USB-C cable is not the right kind. Do I need a full blown expensive Thunderbolt 4 cable? Does anyone have the spec on what kind of USB-C cable will work?

I'm using a newer version of Resolve and the Highlight Tool has been moved to a menu on the right with choices of Highlight, Highlight BW, and Highlight Difference. I still am struggling to find where you turn it off to see the output. This has taken me over an hour to get past the 1:43 point in the video. Please update that little part of the video, maybe with just adding text over the top noting this change that can really, really slow things down for beginners!

I really wish ATEM would not implement the POWER button. Because now, I felt save if I just turn my main switch to turn off everything. The turn off button would be mean me that i should turn it off 1st before turn off the power source. and.. I have a bone to pick ATEM Mini line.. Why didn't you guys have supersource?? At least 2 input should be enough. wtf. PIP in not enough.
@sleepynotded2 ай бұрын
I would recommend the Osee to simple setup, plus with the duet would help you get ready when upgrading your gear and merge to ATEM Ecosystem if you want to.
@JJKoester2 ай бұрын
I've been using the Extreme ISO and as soon as I read this I realized that I didn't check if the mini has Super Source. The Extreme absolutely has it and the way they've designed it runs circles around the Osee (BUT only if you're plugged into a computer and have the software controls setup). Thank you so much for watching and commenting!

Just got one of these to replace my original ATEM Mini. This was great, but needed to be connected to a Mac or a PC to use the software. I like to stream using my Chromebook, so this will be a much better option as i can utilise all of its functions. The ATEM software is more powerful but for my needs this is a better option. Connect a small monitor and I can even stream without a computer directly to KZbin whilst still making full use of all the Duets functions.
