Thanks for the prayers, We will see in a day or so how bad we will get it. With all of this debris piled up everywhere on the streets, flying debris will be a major concern once winds get in the 30mph range and up. Totally preventable!!!!

Dodge did not copy this design. Charger show car was already out in early 1965. The Charger is longer and lower with many more powerful engine options. 4 bucket seats and hide-away headlights. Full length front to back console. I always thought that AMC copied the Plymouth Barracuda. At the end of the day the Marlin is interesting and unusual. I have not seen one since the late 80s.

The Marlin debut was actually in 1964 as a Tarpon on the car show circuit. They went into production in 1965 as a Rambler Marlin and became a stand alone Marlin in 1966. If your a Chrysler fan, keep a look out on my channel for a really cool Plymouth that I will be posting about shortly...Thanks for stopping by!!

@@scottscars4153 So the Charger's design was basically completed by 1964-65. The show car was made to get public consensus but it was already geared for production. I've owned two.

@scottscars4153 9 ай бұрын
Negative on that one, every component was the one installed on the car when it was assembled new. The original water pump was rebuilt by great place called Arthur Gould Rebuilders and I did the wheel cylinders, brake master, fuel pump, carburetor, and installed new bearings in the alternator myself. This is a absolute time capsule that was properly preserved.

Agreed...it's an odd one for sure. Not sure if you saw the video of me finding this car but the short version of it is, it was bought in 1972 as a basically new car and the 2nd owner (who I bought it from) did this to it. It's a shame as it's an original LS5 4spd car that was destroyed while trying to make it a race car. If you get a chance, check out the other videos.

Oh I like the old Ford running driving pick up as you described it. Now they're all nice. But you probably would want to cover up the inspection sticker or emission sticker registration sticker whatever it might have been on the driver windshield of the one car. True I could have had that sticker and came halfway across the country. But not likely. No I did not zoom in on it. You said you wanted to not disclose location. I may be the only one that mentions it but I'm sure others have or will. Fantastic job in finding and showing these cars. I think that wraparound stripe may be indicative of a rarer model that was converted or not. Talking about the VW van. Or it might have been something that they added to break up the height of this van after the addition. Just a couple of thoughts. Thanks for taking the time to show them.

as a 12 year old when they first came out I fell in love with the Marlin, begged dad to get one, he had a 1963 Rambler Classic station wagon, a 660 or 770, I think, and said it was one of the best cars he ever bought. but he didn't, got a Dodge Monaco. I would still love to find one.

A beautiful car/time capsule. I have always loved the turn aluminum look. Curious as to the detail in the headliner, the 65 Impala SS I owned at had embossed stars, also curios as to the trunk space, looks to be absolutely cavernous!

The original owner must have been quite weird, ordering it with a 6-banger and column shift. Anything other than at least a V-8, console and floor shifter would have been unthinkable. Those otherwise ugly headlight bezels would have looked the part, if blacked out. Yeah, they ruined the Marlin in '67. Those had the same dashboards as my dad's boring '70 Ambassador had. They might as well have marketed these as Ambassador Fastbacks

Its hard choice, for sure, my opinion would finish it as a nostalgic drag, still be ultra cool... For me has been almost 2years, but I got my title today for my 69 corvette sportwagon, with a 70 427, 4spd, its been outside for 20 plus years, it was sold to me as a Chuck Miller build back in to early 70s
