I guess all you can do is send it in before they stop supporting that radio and hope they find the problem. I seem to remember that the less than $1 part that was my problem manifested itself slightly differently for some others. The sending in for repair was not too painful, and it's kind of a cool little radio that would probably be worth sending to Yaesu for a trouble shoot. Good luck.

It is the same problem described in other KZbin videos for the 10SR even though I did not find another video that exactly described the symptoms of my radio. It's the "400hz filter". I think that's the name. The part is under $1 and I had the Yaesu factory replace it. I can't remember the total bill, but it was in the $75 dollar range. I had to send it in twice because the problem was intermittent and did not manifest itself at the repair shop until the second occurrence. You change to wide by selecting function F29, the middle button to enter selection mode, and turn the dial to pick your selection. It's the same procedure for picking a PL tone, etc.
