Can someone post a list of all the EWI that can all play by themselves with Headphones? Just EWI and Headphones with no concern for sound variety..

Most satisfying tone for general use i have heard from one of these so far. Almost too good, only in the sense that Soldo has so successfully refined the instrument's sound that it becomes less distinct from other instruments in its family, as compared to the more traditional, thinner, less stable tone.

First of all, great video, thanks! @ 7:38 you mention the midi in of the 3000m. Do you mean this zippering noise occurs when plugging in another controller via midi? I got an offer for only the 3020m without controller and want to play it with the ewi 4000s/5000 via midi in. Do you think that this zippering will also occur, because that would be a dealbreaker...

I think that many sax producers are selling almost the same horn for different prices. I think we are caught by “the law of diminishing returns”. You can get a good horn for 1000 USD. What extra do you get for another 1000 and another 1000? Probably nothing.

I don't think you understood the video
@hansmathiasthjomoe4817 Жыл бұрын
@@daniel_moretti I don’t think you understand “The law of diminishing return” and what it implies. It seems that you think that there is correlation coefficient of 1 between the price and what you get. It can’t be. If we look away from that some instruments have been a collectors item, like the Mark VI, what do you get when putting 1500 USD on the top of a 1500 USD saxophone. The Conn Selmer Prelude TS7711 costs 1500 USD. What do you get when buying the Conn Selmer PTS380 for 3000 USD? Better sound? The sound comes fro the mouthpiece, the Reed and the player. Charlie Parker once played on a plastic saxophone, and sounded like, Charlie Parker.
@daniel_moretti Жыл бұрын
@@hansmathiasthjomoe4817 I think I understand the law of diminishing returns pretty well, as I have an economics degree.
@hansmathiasthjomoe4817 Жыл бұрын
@@daniel_moretti Good, then you have to see how to apply it. The new Selmer Supreme costs 10,000 USD. No way it’s six times better than the Conn Selmer Prelude, depending on what is meant by “better”.
@daniel_moretti Жыл бұрын
@@hansmathiasthjomoe4817 Of course it's not. But I never said or implied it was. The point of the video, FWICT, is that there can be something very special about a finely crafted item. And if you are going to an important event you should use that item if you can. This video, from my POV anyway, was about emotion and reverence, not economics.
