Very helpful video. I use the same blue ano Backlash featured here with the black coated blade as my daily EDC beater, couldn't ask for a better knife for $42. Loved it so much the black ivory wood handle/satin blade Baklash variant soon followed for my collection. Been carrying the Baklash every day for two years now and feeling a little grit resistance when folding, now i know exactly what to expect when i take it apart to clean it, thank you!

I was skeptical of the bronze and blurple together but it looks great! I had a 0562CF before that I did with MXG gear silver screws and pivot (I dig the Hinderer style flathead pivot personally) and MXG Gear Bronze standoffs and grooved LBS. I gave that one away to a friend but had to get another. Got a new 0562CF and I got the BladesWeLove silver screws, MXG Gear silver pivot, blue standoffs and blue grooved LBS, and Taco Ceramic Bearings on the way. Cant wait to get the stuff! I liked the shape of the Aussie standoffs better than MXG Gear and tried to order but my card declined...likely because it is xxxadrenalinexxx in a foreign country and sounds like a pron site lol.

I have a Microtech hock that has a serial number, 1969. It’s my birth year. You can’t just get that lucky. I know it’s a high number but a lot of people look for their birth years. I have a Microtec stitch that is serial number 1999 as well.. If I find the right person I will sell it to them just because I know it’s important.

Good guy, the traditional slipjoint collectors really go nuts for that kind of thing especially the military slipjoint collectors. I'm still keeping my eye out for a functional 1995 made MIL-K military utility knife.

Nice ! I did this to a manix 2 and am waiting for the last piece . The backspacer , lol. Probably will make it heavier in hand but why not , right ? I haven’t seen too many scales and cages added with the backspacer , only one or two in reviews but lots of scales and cages and colored screws . 👍👍 seen they make a bunch for the big out too and newer companies popping up all the time making certain scales

3 words.....Tetra...gun...grease. I use it on all my knives. It smoothes out any pivot but does wonders to improve the feel of bearing pivots. It smooths everything out and produces a slightly "hydraulic' or dampened feel. Once applied and worked in it dries to a waxy condition. You can remove the excess at that point but I leave it as a barrier to prevent dust intrusion. You can use your favorite oil as well, 24 hrs after applying the Tetra if you want it to be lighter.

Just got a 0450 and it is the worst knife (mid-high price range) that I own. The detent is horrendous. For that price, buy a Protech Malibu instead. ZT action is actually painful from that detent. Bad job, ZT. Bad job.

I've spent way too much time avoiding this out of fear of screwing up my knives. You gave me the confidence to give it a try on my GM Ace sonoma. "Only" paid $160 for it and it has tons of lockbar tension. Boy oh boy am I happy. It went from insane to almost drop shut, no blade play or lock rock. Love it dude, thank you.

Thanks for this video. I recently bought a Baklash. The amount of pressure required to flip open the blade is ridiculous - to the point that it hurts my finger. I disassembled and lubricated it well, but it's still too hard to get off the detent. Once it's past that it flips open nicely. You mentioned in the video that you were thinking about adjusting the detent. How were you going to do that? Thanks.
