Strange little station down a small pathway. There are a lot like that...agreed it could be tidied up, but it's all about spending the money on it.

It was ready to go as there was some passengers on board when I took the inside picture. I was there for some time but couldn't wait to see it leave. A lot of the trains are old and neglected (character) that appeals to me. So much different to what we have here.

Some officials looked at you suspiciously at the beginning even a lady passenger too. Obviously they don’t get filmed regularly. Is Lom a freight area/ terminal? I can see lots of cranes in the background?

I did ask the man connecting the train if it was ok to film and he said it was. Lom station is next to the Port of Lom...so ships and trains are very close.

It looks like in Bulgaria they have some stations that are really small and located out of nowhere. In winter it will be very hard and cold to wait for the train to arrive .

We enjoyed another trip to Bulgaria. Stayed in Montana for a week and travelled around visiting sixteen stations...some were very hard to find...and some in dreadful condition...enjoyable though.

Looks like they might of sprayed weedkiller on the platform...still looks bad though...there was a lot of rubbish around which I have not shown...a dumping ground for some.

Agreed, a lovely clean station. What a contrast to a lot I have visited. I enjoy all types...some of the really derelict ones will be gone for ever in a few years.

Good point...as nobody got on or off...perhaps as he saw me as he approached he had to make sure and stopped...I'm glad he did...most drivers are happy to be filmed.

Back from another holiday...have another 18 stations to put on...lots have no trains when I visited...and some are in a terrible state. What I am trying to do is to document a history of Bulgarian rail for the future when a lot of these station will be long gone. I enjoy it. Thanks.

Само не знам защо това БДЖ върви само срещу себе си, Ние имаме толкова много жп път,за толкова градове и села и да не се използва рационално е кощунство. Такъв огромен капацитет има за превоз на хора и товари, Един автобус не може да се мери с два или три жп вагона

Yes it's a motor running when it's stopped...also you think train lines are flat, but look at the train bouncing as it disappears.

Thanks..Have some more stations we visited around Plovdiv and Pazardzhik. Some good, a few in terrible condition. I like to document the bad condition ones as it is part of Bulgarian railway history...and in the future they may well be gone.

Ruse has an impressive station. It is obviously a frontier city of Bulgaria. It can be the gate to Europe for freight. I know they also have some currently used and no longer used tracks in the city for trains and freight trains.
