Hello! Did you ever do a video of the deep cleaning of the carriage? I followed this video and I’m still having difficulty with one of the buttons. The bit is moving terribly slow. I’ve worked some oil into it and going to let it sit a while and see what happens. This was an incredibly helpful and clear video. Thank you so much for this information!!

Heidi, thanks for an excellent video. Would you be able to point me to solving a problem with my daughter's Brother KH881 machine? After every row there's an unknitted line of yarn across the front of the workpiece (anchored at each end) There are some brushes under the carriage which are presumably guides for the yarn. Do you think the yarn isn't feeding correctly or can you suggest what might be causing this. Thanks

I don't have the red/white measurement tape on the front of my bed, where can I get one? I have limited vision and that would really help me. I have a Brother Profile 585 that I haven't used since I was in high-school and am wanting to re-start again after 50 years.

Where is the carriage deep cleaning video?

Lady, you rule. I bought a brother machine on a whim because it was cheap, and I have no idea what so ever what I'm doing. It has two missing slidy hook things which I can hopefully replace, and a missing carriage lock arm doohickey which I can make. Info on the one I bought (KH-810) seems hard to come by, but setting it up was a breeze thanks to you. Míle buíochas, from Ireland.

Hi, do i need to have an arm for my knitting machine to use it?

Dear Heidi, Thank you for your videos, as a new (to me) machine owner I am busily trying to learn and am finding your videos very helpful. This one has shown an issue I have found with my machine, but don't understand. In your video, around the 1:40 mark, you have removed the sponge bar and explain that the needles now sit up as the sponge is no longer pushing them down. However, one of the needles adjacent to the '95' mark isn't sitting up and is laying down almost as if the sponge bar was still in place. One of the needles in my machine lays down like this when the sponge bar is removed. Can you advise why it does this, if it is a problem and if so how I might rectify it? Thank you for allowing comments. The answer lady videos are great but also useless as one cannot ask a question. I have taken my busch ideal machine apart and the peg bar has Bolt nut washed and a tiny ring spring and I cannot forbthe life of me remember how they go back together because I stupidly thought id remember but then life happened for a few months and lo and behold I have no idea. I also dont have a sponge bar but a long yarn peice ...maybe somone used that to replace an old sponge bar. The ideal manual doesnt have a service manual and doesn't say anything about the machine parts. It took me a week to figure out what the peg bar was called to even ask lol! Can anyone help?
