Thank you so much for replying. I was wondering if you would consider installing my Gen 3 caravan mover including that 12 volt modification? I live in Ringwood. My husband passed away last year and I have very recently purchased a second hand off road caravan after reluctantly selling the larger caravan that my husband and I used to own. I do not have the skill set yet to reverse the caravan into the garage, and then through into the carport….hence the purchase of the caravan mover but on watching your video this morning I realised that it would be impossible for me to install it on my own

Carly, Can you provide me info to the below questions, so I better understand the specific technical specs of your caravan? Send the info to me via my email [email protected]. 1) what is the ATM (fully-loaded) weight of your caravan. This is stated on the compliance-plate in the tunnel-boot, or drawbar. 2) what is the cross-sectional size of the drawbar steel (i.e. horizontal width, & vertical height of the drawbar steel) to which the MiniMover3 is to be installed. 3) Send a foto of that part of the drawbar where the MiniMover3 is to be installed. 4) Send a foto of the entire caravan drawbar from tow-hitch of front of caravan. 5) Is the caravan a single-axle, or tandem (dual-axle)? 6) Is there an existing ANDERSON SB50 plug - that is directly connected to the van-battery) & located near the drawbar? Show a foto? thx DIYhabitat

Good video. Nice build. Raid 1 is for auto cloning from your main drive to a backup drive - which doesn't increase the speed of the drives. If you had used Raid 0 which combines two drives to act as 1. Which lets your OS see a higher capacity and faster drive. So 2 x 2 terabyte NVME M.2 drives in Raid 0 would be seen and used as 1 x 4 terabyte drive and the speed would be double.
@DIYhabitatАй бұрын
thanks for your feedback And as i said in my video, i opted for RAID1 instead of RAID0, becos i want hardware redundancy.. not more speed.

I also have an old DELL 15-7537 INSPIRON i7-laptop. It had OEM SEAGATE ST1000LM014 1TB HDD, & dead battery. It has WIN10-PRO installed. Becos of the dead-battery, I could only run the laptop when the AC-power is plugged in. Nevertheless, the laptop took many mins just to boot-up, & after booting-up, ran extremely slow. This is becos the laptop really needs to draw power from a healthy strong battery. A trickle battery-charger does not provide enough amps rapidly to drive the hardware. So 1st change I did was replace dead-battery with new battery. The new battery made it boot up faster, & run faster. But it was still slow nevertheless. So 2nd change I did was replace old OEM SEAGATE 1TB HDD, with new CRUCIAL MX500 1TB SATA 2.5" SSD. CRUCIAL provided a free ACRONIS imaging-software I used to clone the old 1TB HDD, into the new CURICAL 1TB SSD. Becos the laptop was extremely slow, I removed the old HDD, & connected it to a new powerful PC I just built (see kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJqleKt_oMqjnKs). And used that PC to clone the old HDD to the new SSD. This took only a very short time, becos of the fast PC I built. I suspect Western Digital also provide free ACRONIS imaging-software to clone old disks to their WD products. After installing the new 1TB SSD into the old DELL laptop. It made a huge world of difference. The boot-up time is now fast enough to be acceptable, & Apps run much faster. On the ROG-FORUM.AUS.COM website, you'll find many discussions on upgrade of hardware incl HDD for the G73JH. rog-forum.asus.com/t5/rog-gaming-notebooks/asus-g73jh-hdd-upgrade/td-p/648304

Hello come to Miami Florida my friend 🌴. I hear so many people having to stop riding because it's winter. That sucks. Anyhow, I got a pre-owned 2015 Yamaha V Star 950. But the previous owner gave it to me with a battery that's on its last leg. When I purchased it from him, it was on a trickle charger. I've only had a bike for 3 days, and last night, I took it out to get some gas. And it started fine but today this morning, a beautiful day to ride, it did not start. My neighbor, who has four motorcycles came over, and he tried to jump start it. But it was weird because he tried to jump start it using the trickle connector that is already there, that is connected to the motorcycle battery. Meaning that he did not have to open the battery compartment. I've never seen anyone try to jump start it by connecting it to a trickle charger output cable. Do you think maybe this is why it did not jump start? Anyhow, I'm getting my new battery tonight from amazon. Do you have a video that shows exactly how to take out the battery and replace a new battery? When I took off the seat to look at the battery, there's so many different cables going to the terminals. Because this guy had LED show lights, a custom horn, an LED headlight. Ayy yaa yaaii. Thanks!
@DIYhabitat2 ай бұрын
if you are not competent with doing the electricals. Best to take the bike & new battery to an motorcycle shop. Take a photo of all the existing connections on the -ve & +ve terminals. And make sure the mechanic puts them back correctly to the new battery.

@DIYhabitat2 ай бұрын
if grease from grease-gun is not entering grease-nipple, when you pump grease-gun. The grease will be seen to shoot outside the nipple. If the joint to be greased has very little grease inside. Then it may take many pumps, before clean new grease starts to appear coming from the inside of joint, to the outside.

As other have said, this information has been incredibly useful. I installed my first ever Ring Doorbell (Doorbell Plus - newest version) and was so frustrated that it appeared to capture random events. I was ready to return it. Now I understand why it sees my car arrive in the driveway but misses me entering the house. I wonder what sort of percentage hit these settings have with battery life, including setting the sensitivity to MAX. I know it depends on lots of elements, but are we talking about serious drain? Unfortunately there is no room to fit the solar panel in my situation.
@DIYhabitat3 ай бұрын
u can test the battery drain by setting Motion Frequency to FREQUENTLY. Without external charging, battery will likely decrease double-digit % very fast. I connected the 15VAC power-suoply from my old analogue-doorbell, to my Doorbell4. It helps significantly. But over the past year, especially during winter, the battery can still drain faster than the 15VAC can recharge the battery. So i have had to replace with freshly charged battery.

hasn't anyone made like product sort of similar to the duracell battery level checkers with temperature reacting paint? what if you just paint a strip of such paint on the bottle? sure you couldn't tell by what the color is, but by where the color gradient changes, there are paints with somewhat large temperature ranges of different hues.
@DIYhabitat3 ай бұрын
i suspect that 2 limitations of temperature-reactive color-altering paint - if such a paint exists - would be inadequte accuracy of temperature-sensitivity; effect of ambient temp on the color-change curve. Furthermore, would significantly increase cost of the gas bottle.
@lasskinn4743 ай бұрын
@@DIYhabitat hmm well thats how the magnetic strip actually works, thats why it has many rows to use in different ambient temperatures. anyway you can get a "rainbow" paint that does a larger difference. you'd have to just look for the line where it transitions the color sharply (the colors themselves would change with ambient). well, maybe i'll buy some and try it, it's not really that expensive. I wonder if it would be possible to do an active ultrasonic one with a transmitter and receiver at different parts that could be trained to full and empty results. of course the easiest most accurate device is to just have a scale under it.
