Much like another Connor just 4 hours away in Chicago, the USHL’s Joe Connor is proving himself a “Legend in the Making”. Connor is playing for West Michigan’s Muskegon Lumberjacks, a junior program most notable for former players like Andrei Svechnikov, Rem Pitlick, Egor Afanasyev, Daniil Gushchin, and more. This season they are loaded with talent, with Sacha Boisvert, Matvei Gridin, Ty Henricks, Easton Young, Filip Nordberg, Cody Croal, David Klee & of course, Connor himself (an All American selection for the Chipotle USHL AA game in Plymouth, MI…either in March or April '24).

Love the goal from Muskegon’s Connor, and great assist from Strathmann, his USHL opponent w/ Youngstown. International competition is beautiful how usual opponents come together for their nation’s goals-if there isn’t a better analogy for how the country should come together, this would be it!

I think the US team is going to destroy this year. But I'm hoping Canada stops them.

Hong was always someone to watch, every shift he got on the ive. Kid is a naturally talented skater, with a touch of the magic that the Great ones all have. You never know when it will be, You just know it's Going to happen at least once or twice a game. He never failed to amaze everyone in attendance at Young Arena with his moves, and skating abilities on the ice. Happy for the Killa Cali Kid, no matter where he finds success on the ice. Thanks for all the great plays you gave us in the Dirty Loo. We Miss You Hong. One of my favorite players i was lucky enough to watch for a few seasons, over too soon.

@@KMTSports21 - Ya, my bad. Although I guess I was 50/50. My kid IS playing in juniors currently and of course I'm "one of those dads" who thinks his kid deserves a shot. LOL. Anyway, sorry to have caused you to waste a bit of time.

Kings selected Jack Huges. Not Jack Huges with NJ Devils. You'll never. He could become a good player. I remember when L.A Kings selected Luc Robitaille in 174th round or something like that. He turned out to be a great player.

Great pick, I'm wishing him the best of luck for the future - work hard, play hard, train hard and listen to the coaches and he's going to have a chance. Still amazed that he fell all the way to the 7th but at least he was drafted!!
