Hello there! Thanks very much. Went out without charging the batteries, so was unnecessarily nervous toward the end.

Hey, Feels like a long time since we chatted last. Really envious of all the flying you've done while the weather was no so great. Hopefully I'll remember how to do it. Must get to some of the places you've been, really inspirational. Cheers :-)

My dad worked there from 1955 to 1979. Remember the colliery well as a child. Still fascinated by industrial and transport history.

Remember a canal trip near Stoke-on-Trent when we stopped at Shugborough and had a look at this bridge and it's surroundings. Nice part of the Midlands. That was 50 years ago.

need a filter on John, this late summer sunshine plays havoc with exposure
@JohnPendleton Жыл бұрын
Hey Gimbalair :-) No excueses but, I meant to change to auto after a nighttime hyperlapse. I thought the over exposure added a sterile kind-a water-colour look... Was not going to upload it at all, but decided it might help to remind to check camera settings before pressing record ;-) Cheers :-)

I did this with the goggles 2 and motion controller 2, but I'm not recommending them for the mini 3 Pro. You only grt limited access to the mini 3 features with the goggles interface. I'm planning to use Xreal Air glasses with the Xreal Beam, when available, to fly with an FPV-like view, but also able to see the drone in the sky, so no need for an observer. Cheers :-)

I guess you are using head tracking here is this an Avata thought you were selling them both

Hello there! You're so observant ;-) This is my new drone, but still using head-tracking and the Motion Controller 2. Will add details of the kit when I've finish tagging the videos I have up. Happy flying @gimbalair 🙂

Hello Buddy :-) As you say, one Avata is sold, one happy customer and the other has been re-listed: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/195900169856 Will you post a video of your re-sleaved drone when complete? Exciting stuff 🙂

@@JohnPendleton my current Axis conversion is with Edinburgh Drone Company so they can conduct tests and and perhaps offer the conversion as a service. Still confused though head tracking with a mini3 and MC?
@JohnPendleton Жыл бұрын
Hi! A recent firmware update allows the Mini 3 Pro to be flow with either Goggles and MC2, or with an RC having sticks and a mobile phone / built-in RC screen. Not the MC though. And note well... you can not mix and match. No Goggles and Sticks and no Phone and MC2. Also, and this is a major bummer, if you use Goggles you only get the goggles UI. No Slow Motion, Time Laspse, Hyper Lapse, frames rates other then 60Hz, etc. etc. You can't even use head-tracking and have collision detection.

How did you fly backwards 🤔
@JohnPendleton2 жыл бұрын
Hello there Winslow. I made a brief summary in the video description. The drone and I were back to back when I positioned the movement cursor (white circle) where the drone would fly. Then, without moving the motion controlled in my hand, I turned on the spot. With head-tracking, this turned the drone 180. Now the drone and I are face to face, but the movement cursor has not changed position. So, pulling the trigger mean it will fly backwards, ie. in the direction I set the movement cursor, but pointing the camera at me - because of the head-tracking. Sounds more complex written out long hand. Any how, that's what I did. Hope this helps?
