I reckon this beautiful pattern could easy be adapted to a c2c bobble stitch too. Has anyone tried it at all.

Hello Gootie I like c2c as well just learning different stitches. I like this one. But I can’t figure out how to make it into a scarf? My understanding is make it the width you like then only increase on one side. But to me I only see you increase on one side. Will you help me? Thank you. Also I tried to find your mini-bean scarf pattern but could not locate it. Thank you.

Hi Victoria! This video tutorial is only for the square version, that's why the decrease section is on both sides, and not one side. If you want to make into a scarf, as you said, you need to decrease on one side in order to turn it into a rectangle. I don't have a video tutorial or a pattern for a scarf using this stitch. But I do have a placemat pattern with this stitch which you can use, since it shows you how to turn it into a rectangle. You can find it here: madebygootie.com/crochet/modern-crochet-placemat-pattern/ I hope it helps :) Agat

Never said what first row is .. or how many stitches ..

Oh, you're right! Sorry about it. All the information about this pattern and the other parts is available on the blog post. The stitch repetition is multiple of 16 stitches plus 3, that's why I have 19 stitches in this tutorial. and the first row is sc. You can read everything here: madebygootie.com/crochet/mosaic-crochet-placemat-pattern

This is the best tutorial I've seen for the CtoC technique! No distraction, no unnecessary introduction about yarn content or brand. Thank you!

Can this pattern be used for making a stole or a scarf?
@madebygootie
@madebygootie 2 ай бұрын
You can use this pattern with a thicker yarn, and make it as wide as you'd like for a scarf. Just keep a multiple of 16 stitches, plus 3 stitches.

I like the wattle C2C stitch but would have never thought to make a strap with it! Thank you! Just one thing that I wished all designers would do, and I haven't found a single one who does, is to stretch out the bag strap on camera, so we can see how much it will stretch.
@madebygootie
@madebygootie 2 ай бұрын
I haven't thought about it, and you are right! The stretching is an important factor... I'll keep that in mind :) Thank you for bringing it up!
@madebygootie

So I had to check the stretching parameter after your comment. I measured a strap I made for my yoga mat, and already used it a few times. It added about 10% more to the length after using.

This choppy video made the tutorial chaotic. Simply walk us through the steps smoothly. Like every other crotchet video out there.
@madebygootie

I'm sorry you didn't like the tutorial. Not sure why you found it "choppy", but I can see the video very clearly. Unlike my newer video, this one doesn't have a voice-over and the instructions are written instead. This is how I did my tutorial in the beginning. I don't have the time and resources to make a new video tutorial for this stitch at this time (maybe in the future), and many crocheters have found this one very helpful. But if you don't like it, you can find other crochet videos that will simply walk you through the steps smoothly, there are many out there 😊
