North and South series of books captures the civil war and the times beautifully in the book and the series. Heavy stuff and epic, incredible.

This is a better Amiga game than the original Amiga port of Giana Sisters. I like how the graphics are based on the DS re-imagining, which is an underrated gem that not a lot of people got to play. Too bad the a600 and CD32 versions are exactly the same, but I guess I shouldn't expect too much from a homebrew version.

Of course his goals are average and not pretty, cause he wants to be efficient. But what bothers me more is the goalie skill. I know that this is a frozen pitch and it's on some old amiga emulation plus the opposing team sucks a**, but still...a straight shot from distance would never go in on the PC version.

Perfect plot. Excellent acting with generational talents including three Oscar winning actors and actresses. Great music. Accurate depiction of history, culture, and tradition. Such a great mix with historical and fictional characters. We will never have another show like this in the times of all these clowns of HBOs and Netflixes anymore. Ever.

I have been one of the best players in our community, I had to buy countless joysticks. They game has been extraordinarily popular in Turkey. There were arcades equipped with Amiga 500s that survived solely on the revenue from this game.

One amazing fact is that Patrick Swazye did 2 lead roles in 1985 that were very diverse - not just North & South but also a true cult classic movie "Red Dawn", where he plays the older wiser brother saving his family, friends & town from a Communist invasion force. Any Swazye fan will appreciate it !

The only thing I didn't like, is that they made a part 3. I wish it had ended when they were still alive, as in Orry and George, and still in love with their spouses, instead of George in love with Madeline...am I the only one who thinks this?

No.... I agree with you, but a bit different. I was hugely disappointed that the "cast had changed," and I was looking forward to seeing Orry and Madelaine finally able to settle down, and raise their family along with other characters. I only just saw this series for the first time, and knew nothing about it. I didn't care to see Elkanah Bent again either. However, I was glad that George and Madelaine came together with hopes for the future if it couldn't be the other way around; George caring for his best friend's widow was sweet. These stories need a "happy ending." Book 3 didn't live up to my hope originally. I didn't like the new version of Charles; liked the original cast member. And, I thought the actress who played Willow wasn't so pretty....I didn't care for her. I liked the gal who played Augusta better. I thought they dragged the war scenes on too long also in general. I know it was about the Civil War, and that was part of the movie, but frankly I find war BORING AS HELL. I would have liked to see more drama, and less "fighting scenes" with the battles as an occasional backdrop; otherwise, I thought it a pretty good film. SLAVERY WAS AWFUL, AND SO WAS THAT IDIOT HUSBAND LAMONT.

I managed to break my personal record this year. 23-0 career mode. I pimped my Maltese Gzira utd 😁 Great job Mr swos. Much appreciated 🙏☀️

I miss the 1980s, so many great mini series back then and this was one of the best ones. I actually rewatched the DVD recently and watched it again, it's still good. Very sad that a lot of the actors aren't with us any longer. But this series is 40 yrs old now, so that's understandable.
